YT 1000 Club Member | I took Roxie to the vet today for some disturbing skin issues. Turns out it's most likely allergies or reaction to her flea meds. Got medicine to calm everything down. Anyway she was very healthy otherwise and to my surprise she weighed in at 6 lbs. For quite awhile now I thought she had stopped at 5 lbs. I didn't think they grew anymore past a year but she did someplace along the line. I think she's done now for she is 2 years old. I'm so happy she's healthy. I told hubby she's getting to be a beast (of course I was kidding)!

| yaY! It's always nice to get a clean bill of health! Especially when so many yorkies seem to have health problems be it big or small along the line. My Marley is a year and is still gaining and getting bigger too! Anywho, so happy to hear that Roxie is okay!

| I am happy to hear it wasnt a serious visit to the vet. I thought they would too but my Roxie can go from about 4.75 lbs. to about 6 lbs just depending, like right now she is getting ready to go into heat and is more, but normally in the summer she is under 5 lbs. and she is going on 3 years old. Funny how they fluctuate like we do!

| what kind of flea medicine is she on? One of our adoptive families had a bad reaction to that "BIO SPOT" or something like that. We never used that one and never had reactions here either, but i read online a lot of people noticed their dogs had a reaction to this one... Please share the brand of the flea meds you used .. it may be usefull to someone else ! Hope your girl will get over this soon !!! XOXO

YT 1000 Club Member | Your all so sweet with your replies, thank you! No not Bio-Spot. The flea med. is Advantage and it's the same as I gave her last year. The vet said she's seen alot of animals with allergies this year. We're not sure yet if it was from the meds or not. It could be that she already had something brewing and Advantage aggravated it. I had noticed some pieces of hair laying around once in awhile for a couple of weeks but nothing big or alarming. Just enough to make me think about it. I brush her a couple of times a day and she really doesn't ever matt. Just the past couple of days I noticed her hair feeling dry and seemed to tangle more. Which was after I applied the Advantage. It got pretty scarey. I was seeing more of the hair coming out the last 2 days and said that's it we're going to the dr. Next week she goes back for a recheck and to get her shots. I was so upset about this last night, I was in tears worried sick it was something super serious. I'm so happy tonight and relieved. She already seems to be feeling better.
