Poor guy, I wouldn't mind taking him for 200$ but I am in Ontario and she doesn't want to ship.

If someone says OBO it means The asking price OR best offer. I think with these types of situations people say the most they would LOVE to receive and then they are open to the highest offer that is closest to their asking price. I mean I sell things around my city sometimes and I will put firm and people will ask. Sometimes you need to bargain. I have seen things that are priced WAY TO MUCH and I WILL offer less, who knows what someone will say. I don't think theres anything wrong with makng offers. But I do understand a bit what the other ladies were talking about. You ladies I am sure breed your dogs properly and follow the ethical rules, this lady seems to just be doing it for the $$ and she probably doesn't really care where he goes . Why let those kind of people win?

I hope this little guy gets what he needs , no matter what the price. The chances are it will be a good home if its a member of YT.

To me, this dog seems more like a rescue. That's alot different than buying a pet. He has had no training whatsoever, which tells me that he's probably been living in a cage and/or isn't socialized very well. The dog is 2.5 yrs old and he's not even house trained at all! The seller has dropped the price from 700-200 dollars. I think what's more important than money is that this dog finds a nice, loving home. I hope that a YT'er helps out

I'm sorry. I didn't read the ad and didn't know she was willing to "haggle". Gosh, I hate that word

That is the problem with the written word ~ it is open to INTERPRETATION as to the "tone" the word was said in - in the authors head!

I don't think I have been childish, if you email a breeder to see if she will take 200-300 for the dog and she says yes but then you say you don't have the money!!! Why email the lady if you don't have the money to get the dog!! That is what makes me mad. And then everyone is judging her with out knowing her. And no I don't know her, she could be a good breeder or bad. She could have bought this male and it not be up to standarded for breeding. You should not just breed any two dogs. He is a very cute dog, but I would not want him in my breeding line.

You don't know how the dog has been raised until you go to her house and see with your own eyes. Sorry but I do not like people that talks about people behind their backs. Before you talk please have the facts(meaning seen it with your eyes). I could care less if you try to offer a breeder less money, just have the money you are offering or don't call/email. It is up to the breeder to take the offer or not, but don't waste her time. OH and if she goes from asking $700 to $200 I don't think she is in it for the money, but just finding a good home!!

I totally agree with this. Even if someone was being "talked about" she will recover... the poor pup now might not be adopted. I don't understand why a discussion on a yorkie FORUM (which is what this is for) would upset you so much to the point of teller that breeder anything. So you may have made yourself feel better for running to tell the breeder, but now that little pup has probably no chance. Unbelievable....

And I would not sell a dog to some one that was going to go around a talk bad about me and my dogs. You are the one that is wrong. Sorry but I am the one that is not 2 faced, I posted that I emailed her, I never doing anything behind someones back. I only tell it the way I see it. I am sure the dog will end up in a great home. She will answer my email, I will be sure to let everyone know when the dog in placed.

I totally agree with this. Why on earth would you take it upon yourself to "report" a conversation on here? Makes one hesitant to have any conversation with you. The important thing was finding the dog a good home and apparently that has been ruined.
