| I have a 14lb Yorkie and he's still pretty small, you'd be surprised. I prefer his size.

| I have a 9.5 lb. yorkie, she was going to be 6 or 7 lbs by the breeder.Do you really care how much they weigh, are they healthy, happy and little sweethearts, why does size matter. Mine is actully long, but tiny head and tiny butt and she is thin,I brought her home at 7 weeks, the owner lived in the next town so if I needed her,she was there. By the time she was 10weeks old,she was completely housebroken both ways and she never never does anything in the house, she is very smart and I love her for a beautiful yorkie not size. |

| At 6 months my Bea is just less than 3 lbs. I am hoping that she gains to at least 10 lbs. I want her to be healthy and worry about her small size.

| Glad my momma didn't frown when I turned out bigger than my female "littermates/sisters!" LOL! She still loves me! And I can reach the blueberries at the very top of the bushes!

| I think I would prefer my Bailey to be a little larger rather then tiny and so fragile. He was over 9.5 weeks old and less then a lb, now he is over 12 weeks and I can tell he put on weight, he feels so much heavier and I'm delighted! He goes to the vet tomorrow, I'm anxious to see how much he has gained

| Well when I look at him at 4.5 lbs Chewie is a tiny thing so another 7 lbs on top, if he goes to 12 lbs, won't be too bad I guess. He is a healthy, cute little thing and loved, that's all that matters really. It's just that I just bought a miniature schnauzer. They grow to about 12 to 14 pounds. She is a year old and weight 25 lbs. She played kinda rough with my 5 lbs poodle so I don't want a repeat ![]() I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

| YT 2000 Club Member | Tucker was 2.5 pounds at 10 weeks and at almost 10 months old he is around 9 pounds and has been since he was 6/7 months old. He is still very small to me. I have a 4ish pound poodle and they are both the same height. (8 inches) He is very short, compact and solid as a rock. No fat what so ever. lol.. I dont worry so much about him as I do my poodle, even though they are the same height she is very dainty compared to him. He was only "suppose to be" around 4 pounds because his parents were only 4 pounds but Im happy that he is as heavy as he is. You will love your pup no matter how big he gets. The bigger he is the more to love!!

Their is some that just wants tiny yorkies, but most just want them to stay in the Standard. Under 7lbs , 10lbs would be out of the standard. At 9 months he is still growing, more likely he will get a little big. If not by weight, by taller, or longer. | |

| Stella was 4.8 lbs. at 12 weeks, but considering that she's only gained 1 lb since we got her at 13 weeks (she's now 20 weeks), and she's finally starting to look like she "fits her legs," i don't know that she's going to grow a whole lot more. i don't think the growth charts are always very accurate, because if so, she's fallen into a different adult weight every week we've had her! |
