| Yep, Yorkies are notorious for their teeth getting bad. I brush mine every night and they still need dentals every two years or so. I keep a pretty close eye on how they look. My two older girls don't eat hard kibble so I really need to be careful with them. I'm glad it all turned out and she is back home. She is a tiny one, isn't she. ~Joanne~

| Obviously prices vary, but can somebody give me an idea what you pay for a dental? My girls are going under to be spayed.

| I've notice on threads like these regarding pricing that often it varies greatly from state to state and sometimes even regions within each state. That may very well be the case. Plus, the higher priced one may come with pre-op bloodwork , etc. I live in a small town in Pa. and Sophie's spay, 4 baby teeth pulled, all pre-op bloodwork plus two "optional" pre-op tests, her lyme shot, Intercepter and Frontline plus came to around $500. Every penny was well spent as she did well, I loved the Vet and she was well taken care of.

Well exactly. Prices vary, I am sure I could find a very cheap vet to do the surgery, however, I completely trust the vet (it's actually an emergency vet hospital) I see now, so I agree, it is well worth it.
