| beyond mad!! Ok, this is what happened to me on the 4th... I went to my dads house for the 4th and as usual I brought Pixie... fireworks dont bother her. But anyhow I had Pixie in her bathing suit, my dad has a pool. Well his friend kept making little remarks and I ignored it and really that is very hard for me... but then after we were done swimming we went in and I dressed Pixie in her dress and here she goes again with her remarks. Well after we ate and stuff we were waiting to go wach the fireworks so we decided to leave early to get a good spot. Well when we loaded up she said are you seriously going to take Pixie in public dressed like that? I said yes and bit my tongue yet again. Then when we get there we found out it was still 2 hours before the fireworks so they decided we would goto his friends house and wait, well I really didn't want to but we rode with them. Sooo we had to go, anyhow while we were there her kitten was trying to play with Pixie and Pixie didn't want anything to do with the kitten... she didn't growl, bark or anything she just got in my lap and ignored her. Well then his friend starts saying that my dog doesn't act like a dog and that I spoil her to much...and that she isn't normal... I was like wtf. I was beyond mad and just walked outside.. she walked out there and I let her have it. Now my dad is upset because he thinks that I over reacted... I said Im sorry if I upset you dad, but she had picked on me all day and I had enough.... so do you think I was wrong for defending myself and Pixie?

| Oh me, that would have made me mad too. Maybe you should have asked her if she would have felt better if Pixie had eat her kitten. I had someone do me the same way on another forum. I just told her that yorkies are not suppose to wear collars and the little dresses are halters for them to wear their leash. Sometimes you have to just make them look stupid. I try to get along with everyone but if anyone wants to get on my bad side, just say something about one of my babies.... |

| well what made me so mad was Pixie is only 2 1/2 pounds, her kitten is just about bigger and very hyper. My husband was worried that the kitten would scratch Pixies eyes because she kept going for Pixies face. Also Pixie is very spoiled but so is her dog... he want even walk on tile floors... she babies him just as bad and he wears sweaters when it is cold out. So whats the difference... and how does a dog not act like a dog?

| Some people are just Idiots. She is so obviously jealous of you and your baby, she doesn't know how to act around you. And jealousy is such a waste of emotion, instead of being angry at her you should pity her. |

thanks, I really felt that way. Thats why it took so long to say anything to her. I was just overlooking it and after so much... I just exploded. I still handled myself appropriately and just basically asked her what was her problem and to tell me how my dog wasn't normal? And why was she on my back all the time, and when we got to the park she was mad because I wasn't "walking" Pixie I was carrying her. I said I don't want her to get stepped on and she said well you should have left her at home. Man I can't win with her...lol

| If your baby acted like a "dog" and chased and tried to eat the kitty, I'm sure they would have something to say still. When people have their mind made up about little dogs, then that's it. They are just haters. Forget them. Like Lillymae said, you should pity them. They don't know what they're missing out of life!

| Oh that's why... a yorkie is a "sissy" small dog, but a chi is a "macho" small dog. whaaaatever! sheesh!

| Sounds like to me she is just jealous of you period. If thats the case you won't be able to do anything right. Ignoring her would be the best way to handle it. |

| No, I do not think you were wrong for expressing how you felt that day. I would have done the same. You did not ask for her opinion. I bet your dog looked good in her bathing suit. I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July. |

YT 1000 Club Member | It's obvious this lady was plain picking on you all day. Whatever the reason was who cares. She should have bit her tongue all day like you did. She deserved it. I hope she's just a friend of your Dad's and not like a "special" friend.
