Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I am sorry to hear this but this wasn't her first 4th of July how did she get so upset this time? Some dogs need to be kept in and given a sedative they get so scared. Poor baby that's heart breaking.

| RIP Callie -- so sorry to hear about that. What terror she must have felt. But at least she had a wonderful day at your dad's and everyone can have that memory forever. Mine are terrifed by fireworks too. I kept them in and had the TV sort of loud to distract them so they just got a little antsy and barked occasionally when they heard nearby fireworks going off. I will make sure to take their fears even more seriously from now on. Sympathies to your family!

| Thanks everybody! My uncle's fiance is definitely still devastated and having a rough time. I still can't believe it happened! My dad said his last memory of her when she left our house... she hopped in the car and was in the driver's seat and looked like she was steering the wheel and about to take off! lol. He was looking for a camera close-by but sadly couldn't find one.

| That's so sad I'm so sorry! Hugs to your whole family. I wonder if she had a heart condition that they weren't aware of?

I know they didn't do an autopsy, it was too expensive.

| So, they are still very saddened by the loss of Callie, and this is not a replacement.. but they got a new pup... AND a Yorkie at that! They loved Jackson so much, they decided on a Yorkie. It was a spontaneous decision but he's such a cutie! Looks JUST like Jackson did as a pup! I'll meet the puppy this weekend Don't know of the name or sex yet, as my dad didn't tell me yet... However, I'm sure you guys will be getting loads of pics with Jackson and his new Yorkie playmate

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Wow! I never imagined that a dog could get scared to death. This is so sad. I will say a prayer for the family because I know what it feels like to lose a pet. I lost my 15 yr old Persian last year. |
