Why doesn't anyone ever apologize after stepping on Uni???!!!

Maybe Thor is just very agile, because the only one dumb enough to step on him is me. I don't take him places that are crowded very often, and if I do, I have him on an extremely short leash. How is it that people are managing to step on her? Does she get underfoot?

Maybe just pick her up when people come into the store, than put her down again. Maybe she needs a bed on the counter.

Well i know a few in particular are afraid of dogs, but they actually haven't stepped on her. The ones that have stepped on her either pretend they didn't hear Uni scream, or kind of blame Uni for being so close to them. That's kind of the feeling I get from them.

I did once get in a fight with someone who didn't apologize. They called her a rat, then "accidentally" stepped on her, didn't say sorry, then when I ignored them when they left (yah like I'm really gonna say "thank you, bye" to them after all that) the guy called be a b*tch. So I confronted him.

They are just not paying attention. Most of these times they have said hi to her, then later step on her, and just go "oops" or something. The incident that happened today which caused me to start this thread was a mom and two daughters came in. The mom stepped on Uni and a daughter said "don't step on the dog mom!" And what did mom say? "I didn't step on her!" Ya, Uni just screams for no reason.

Don't get me wrong, Uni isn't getting stepped on everyday, but more than once is once too many. This is why she has a bell, two tags, and decorative charms on her collar for the jingling effect. You always know where she is. Well at least I do.

maybe you can attach a balloon to her harness/collar. that way it's harder for people to not know where she is. because the balloon will be floating at people's eye level. you can even put cute msg. on the balloon. like 'welcome to my shop' or whatever.

that way if people STILL step on her. then you might want to consider putting a bell on those customers when they come in your store, so uni can know to stay the heck away from them!

This is why i crate my dog's when people come They tell me it's cruel But it's for there safety Especially with 3 dog's i can't watch each one.

oohhh... I say if its your store well let her run =) Maybe put up a sign in the entrance that says watch your step our Furry sales dog is running around....lol.

I've thought about that, but I've come to find that people really don't read signs. I have them ALL OVER the shop and i still get questions.
