| ![]() Instead of rescuing angain, I decided to buy a puppy. Theres a breeder close by, She has a farm and she breeds. Yorkie/crested, yorkie/bichon, yorkie/shih tzus, yorkie/mateses. Boxer/labs, GSD/boxers and some sort of bull dog.. And a few more, but i cant remember the names. I am going to get a puppy. I just cant choose whichones ! They are 400 dllars! Maybe i will get 2 ? Any advice on which ones to get? or any advice at all! Last edited by k9trainer; 01-25-2009 at 10:24 AM. |

| ![]() Without meeting them, I'd go for the Yorkie/Maltese. After you meet them, you may fall in love with another pup.

| ![]() Before my current Yorkies, I had a Maltese. They are both nice breeds. I've seen mixes, & I like the way they look.

| ![]() That's a lot of different types of dogs. Personally, I don't think I'd buy from a breeder with that many breeds; not to mention all the mix breeds.

| ![]() Oh give me a break...did you start this thread for controversy? Obviously you've rescued before (since you stated you weren't going to rescue again) so you know the shelters are full of the 'breeds' you mentioned. Why not go save a life and rescue one again instead of giving up your hard earned money?? There is nothing wrong with a mixed breed dog...however, there is something wrong with a person who calls themselves a breeder and mixes them for profit. | ![]() there is nothing wrong with mix breeds, but generally a good breeder will do a lot of research before breeding. and it's always a little suspicious when they are breeding that many different kinds of breeds. |

| ![]() you also should make sure this is not a puppy mill. Do your research and find out if this breeder that you are considering is a good reputable breeder. by the sound of it (her having all these diff. breeds) it sounds very suspicious. i would definitely do research to find out what's going on. |
