| I'm not saying the 'breeder' you're talking about is not a good one (although the chances are good) but where do you think the mixed breed puppies in the shelters come from? Buying from a breeder does not insure you will get a healthy puppy...although your chances are better if you research and find a reputable breeder who is concerned about and loves the breed they chose and doesn't mix it with other breeds for profit. If you are considering a mixed breed again please check with your shelters and rescue groups first instead of encouraging the designer dog industry. |

| yes, i understand that it can be very costly and heart aches when you adopt from shelter and if they end up having health problems. to be honest, $400 for a yorkie puppie is pretty low (price wise) most of the breeders i contacted were charging a lot more for a puppy. that is not to say there is anything wrong with the puppies you are interested in. but since you mentioned that you are really concerned about getting a healthy puppy. i think it is crucial that you do your research, because just because your friend got a puppy from that breeder and is healthy doesn't mean all the puppies from that breeder will be healthy. it's quite possible that this breeder is perfectly fine, but based on the research and personal experience from when i was searching for a breeder, this one sounds a little suspicious because she breeds so many different kinds of dogs. |

| Well, I can assure you that is not what i am doing. That is dumb and immature on so many levels. I would like to know what everybody who owns one of these breeds of dogs thinks of them, and what the like/dislike aout them please. |

| my main concern with this breeder is why does she have so many different breeds available? it sounds like she is mass-producing puppies. how many litters at a time does she have? if she has all these diff. breeds of puppy available for sale, then i do not see how she can properly care for all these puppies, and i don't understand why she would have so many litters at once. just sounds like a bad idea, not to mention the dogs probably won't get the attention they need since this breeder would not have time to properly care for all of them if she indeed has all these puppies available. |

| sorry, my yorkie is pure yorkie, so i don't know about the mix breeds. i do think you will get info about the breeder you are interested in though. a lot of people here have experience with breeders, both good and bad, and since you said you were looking for a perfect puppy, you will get a lot of info. on what to look for in a good breeder. because you will get a better chance of getting a 'perfect puppy' if you choose a good breeder. |

| Agree with above advice. Continue your research, & since the breeder is close to you include a visit to the breeder as part of your research. Learn what to look for before the visit. Don't bring money with you, else you might buy on impulse. If you see a pup you like, get as much info as you can from the breeder. Then back home to think, & maybe do more research or ask for advice from YT members based on what you found.

| You listed eight different crossbreeds---this sounds like a puppy farm to me. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't pay for a cross-breed dog. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against them...one of my Maltese is actually crossed with Jack Russell (she looks like a poodle but behaves like a terror!)...but why would you want to pay money for a dog that doesn't have a pedigree and papers? Maybe I am old school about this, but there's no way I would part with cash for a pup I could not register. And $400? Whoa...sticker shock!! Look, there are lots of dogs...puppies too...that are being put down every day in shelters that can't handle the volume of unwanted dogs. I have three rescue dogs and love them dearly...two of them had medical issues, but the one I got from the SPCA is as healthy as any dog I bred and raised myself. Please reconsider...save a life and stay away from people who make a business of creating the very kinds of dogs that end up in shelters.
