Mister Tobys property !
I'm having a problem with Mister Toby ! He believes "everything and everybody" belongs to him and is quick to mark ! Rarely does it happen inside, but every now and then he slips up ! When he is outside its understandable because I have a large hound mix dog that he follows around. The problem is when we have visitors, if he likes them, he will try his best to mark them and if by chance he doesn't like them , he is quick to try to eat them (since he is a Rotweiler in a yorkie disquise)! This can't happen ! I scold him, but he doesn't seem to care ! Does anyone have any ideas on how I can stop this ?????

He rules the house. I can tell by the way you explained yourself. You need to take back your home. First, when he acts this way you need to put him in a submissive position. You have to do this just as soon as he has this behavior. Put him on his back with your hand on the side of his neck. Dont hurt him, just position your hand. Make him lay there until he surrenders. His tail will relax and he will become calm. You will need to repeat this everytime he acts up. It may take a week or 2 so dont give up. Think of yourself as a Wolf. The pac leader will put badly behaved wolves in a submissive position.

You could always put on a wee-wee wrap when you have company. Is he neutered? ~Joanne~

How old is he? I felt like when Cohen first started hiking and marking, he did it all the time just because he could. But, it is important to be firm with him. I don't have any clear cut advice, but you should def get him some belly bands. Once you have him on belly bands, you should still discipline him when they are on...just because the pee can't get out, doesn't make the behavior right. I know someone already asked but, is he neutered?
