this was NOT a accidental breeding, in her ad it says SHE BRED HER 3 TIMES TO HER MALE!! I have not read all the responses, I am going to go through them all right now but just wanted to make that clear. I just got home from work right now. she may be saying shes firm on the price now because she has had more then 1 phone call, earlier she told me she was open to offers! I am not too far from this girl, just over the border, if she worked out a decent price I would go and get her, I am just too afraid of the outcome, I have no experience with breeding yorkies, especially yorkies that are this tiny! :( |

JUST SOME MORE FOOD FOR THOUGHT And if she does end up there, why wouldn't be jsut go and pick her up? That way this person doesn't get the money and she is out of their hands. I would have to agree with LadyJane and say that this totally smells of a scam. Here is a little food for thought...........just over the weekend I went to pick up a little rescue from North Judson, IN. I posted him in the rescue forum and YHR ended up taking him. When I went to the shelter, the nice man told me that "I have never had so much interest in a dog before this little guy". I know that all of the phone calls were from my post, I guarantee it! You know why~because the same thing happened a while ago when llcornell mom called about a little girl in UTAH. The nice man at the desk said the exact same thing. There are a lot of people that come to YT and they are lurkers. Then call about posts like this and we just never know what happened to the pups. Not that it is a bad thing but what I am trying to say it that by all of the postsing to this thread and the link to the ad we have now basically driven up the price for this person to believe she has something very valuable. I am sure that she has been inundated with emails and phone calls about her so now she think that she needs to be firm in her price. If everyone just backs off and she thinks that nobody wants to pay her outrageous price then you will see how the price will drop like a rock! |
Quote:
You are totally right, this morning she was willing to negotiate, and this evening she is firm and it hasn't even be a day. Theres no way I would pay 1200, if she was going to let her go for a decent price, I would consider trying to help her but I've read some good points. This lady is just sick and I know we can't save all the dogs in the world but her sad little face just tugged at my heart. I bet she would just love to have a warm lap to snuggle up on and feel some real love not torture! |

Took me less than a minute to figure her out. Now if that other post would have had a link to her website and the puppymill that Danille is running it would have totally blown the door off her story! Can I have a show on Animal Planet? Instead of Animal Cops or It's Me or the Dog I could be like the Chuck Norris of Yorkie Scammer! Kind of like Dog the Bounty Hunter minus the wife with the really big boobs and the bad mullet. Oh wait maybe I could do a combo of bad mullet and big boobs. :p |
So first it was one, now there are three dogs by this woman. For the future, you can break a link simply by editing the url. For example: YorkieTalk.com - Yorkshire Terrier Community can be done just as easy like this: yorkietalk (dot) com This breaks any link juice to her or others post and we can still go check it out. As for people believing everything they read, I think this thread is a prefect example that this is not the case here. People on this board began to investigate. Thanks to the OP for finding it and thanks to the many who have contacted her to find out what the back story is. Together we are proving that this is a scam. The good thing is that if people find that link on this board, they will find this thread which will serve as a warning to them. If nothing else, we may have driven the price up to a point where no one will want the dog. Then she either turns it over to a shelter fearing huge medical bills or gives it away to one of us that have contacted her. |
I am very disturbed by all this. The pictures in itself make me sick to my stomach. This person should rot in hell. It is taking all I have not to call her and tell her what a scumbag she is, but why bother things like that don't bother a holes like her. Elaine |

Lol, a bad mullet and big boobs will get the guys to watch, the show can be about anything! I know you are joking, but wouldn't that make a great show! I mean to actually see some of these millers and scammers getting busted? |

Loving a pup is not just about having a warm lap to snuggle up on. There are real expenses involved...and with this one, they may be very high! Just food for thought. |
Or she decides to keep both pregnant pups, lets them give birth. Then we run into worrying about all the babies. If I could, I would drive down there and puppynap them. |

I'm just saying that I know people reading this thread are wanting to report her and they want the dog to go to the humane society or whatever. If that were to happen, there is a very good chance that she will be euthanized before anybody could get there to take her. So, in other words, pushing for this girl to go to a Yorkie rescue would be tons better than the local hs. Evidently they euthanize pregnant animals there regularly. Just because she goes to the local hs doesn't mean she is much better off. That's all. :) |

Yorkie_mamma22~~Your heart seems to be in the right place but IMO I really do not think it would be a very good idea for you to take thing little girl into your home. You work, have no experience with this type of thing, have young children etc. |

Seriously, this is such a sad story and unfortunately it is only one out of the many out there! |

Like I said before, I do not believe that she is doing anything AGAINST THE LAW. People can report her all they want but the LAW and ETHICS are two totally different things! :thumbdown |
I think it is going to be highly unlikely that she would surrender any of her dogs to a rescue. This was an ad for sale.. she isn't looking for help ~ she is looking for the almighty dollar. |
Be Careful... Seriously...I would be ever so careful about volunteering to go and pick up this Momma...unless your planning on bringing some big dudes with you for protection. These kind of things can also be set-ups for a violent crime of you arriving and then instead of receiving what you came for...they mug you & take your $$$. I realize you would only be going there to pick up this Momma as a rescue...but, you don't know what kind of people are out there and wouldn't think twice about taking your car, too! Personally, my life is more valuable to my family than it is to YTNR whom I foster for and I would never think of putting myself into that kind of an "obvious" scam situation!;) Quote:

I'm not that crazy that I would meet someone in a dark alley for a yorkie :p I've never gone alone to pick up a dog yet. I have a husband and 2 OVERGROWN sons. My oldest is 22 yrs , 6' 5" 275 lbs wrestled and played football in HS and Junior College. My other son is 6' 2" 200 lbs and played football, wrestled and now trains in Ju jitzu. I have taken them with me in the past. Usually costs me a fortune in food on the way but well worth a little protection. :p But seriously, I'm not crazy and know that there are a lot of very crazy people out there that could potentially cause me harm. On another note, YTNR is wonderful and they have our Teagan! When I went and met that breeder it was in the parking lot of a McDonalds off the expressway. I took Ju Jitzi man with me for protection. :D Quote:

Whatever else is going on with this woman, lies, scam, who knows, she is not going to just give this dog or any other away! One thing is certain, she wants money and the best way, in her opinion, to get it is thru these dogs. It doesn't matter to her, obviously, that this tiny is pregnant, she bred her. She doesn't care that the dog and/or puppies may die. She only sees dollar signs. I'm not sure why she bred the dog and isn't waiting to sell the puppies unless she is convienced the mom will not make it or the pups won't, and just wants to get rid of the mom "as is", hoping someone else will see her as an opportunity to make money or, someone will feel sorry for her and buy her to "save her." These ppl know exactly what they are doing. They know there are more ppl like us than ppl like her, they make a living knowing this. This makes me sick and mad and frustrated because it isn't illegal to breed your own dog or to sell it pregnant. It won't help this baby, but the best thing we can do is to drive our state and local representatives crazy until they pass decent laws and then enforce them. This takes time and persistance and is not a quick fix but it is the only way to make it stop. I would love to save this poor baby myself but I don't want to help this woman who will continue to do this. Who knows how many have come before this dog, let alone how many there will be after her. I don't mean to sound like I am against anyone who has wanted to help, I would like to help her too. I just don't think she will give her up and if someone does buy her, there will be another shortly. What then? |
I feel so bad for those poor babies. I wish I had the means to save them... I'd drive up and get them. |
This is too fishy for me. I did some digging of my own and a month ago she had another ad for another girl. This is what the ad said: "I have a 3 year old female yorkie that needs a new home. She would make a great breeder dog, she has 8 puppies at a time which is unheard of for a yorkie. She's about 8 pounds and as sweet as can be and for some reason has no bark? I got her when she was 2 and really am sad about her having to leave but I have too many dogs. She should come into heat anytime, she had a liter of pups in Novemeber. If you're interested you can call me at 586 879 1025 or email. Thanks ps The last pic is of some of her puppies she had, she was matted with a shihtzu." Yeah, sure she doesn't breed. The above ad was posted on May 12th. Here's a snippet of another one of her ads: "I have a female and male dachshund that are in need of a new home:) Thanks 586 879 1025." And another: "3 year old female yorkie great breeding potienal!! will be in heat ...She is 3 years old and had 3 liters in the past with 8 puppies at a time. She is a great mother! If interested you can call me at 586 879 1025" I only live about 20 minutes away from her, but there's no way I'd give her $1,200!! My heart goes out for that poor baby, something needs to be done. This person is recklessly breeding these poor dogs, and only sees dollar signs when she takes them in. She even has a myspace where she put a picture up a few months ago of her "new Yorkie" (looked like a different one). Ughhhh....this makes me sick.:mad::mad: Oh, and as far as wanting to sell this little girl because she needs money for her new house...why can't she just sell the pups when they're born? She'd surely make more than $1,200 that way, right? This story does not add up at all. |

Exactly! Calling the Humane Society or SPCA is a waste of time because they cannot do much with laws that do more to protect bad breeders than the poor little pups they abuse. Everyone watches Animal Cops and thinks that these people are busted all of the time. Sadly, the ones you see are few and far between. There are so many out there that no one can touch because they either fly below the radar OR they know the laws better than anyone and stay just within them. |

I'm definately agreeing with the idea of humane society/animal police being contacted in that location, which would involve getting the address from the woman selling her. very irresponsible. that poor baby does not look happy. the few yorkies i have been around including mine love the camera and will pose for me! she doesn't look thrilled. poor love. |
p.s. copy this woman's phone number and paste it into google search engine. FOUR pages comes up of stuff she is trying to sell from dogs, laptops, baby formula, to buying dogs etc. this woman is sick:mad: |
I think she purchases or obtains Yorkies and intentionally breeds them for the purpose of selling. She probably thinks a pregnant female will bring in the highest bidder. No doubt about it, the woman has different breeds. And looking at how unkempt Mommy looks, you wonder what her kennel looks like and I'm betting she has one. I think our only hope is that either a YT person gets her, or someone else will, or calling the HS and tell them you suspect abuse and have her place investigated. It just might be bad enough for them to pull all the dogs. That would be saving all of them and not just this Mommy. A BIG GREEDER!!!! Carol and Jemma |
