I hope you all don't "reward" her for what she's doing. She will do it again, and others will read how they too can make money by abusing dogs. I think you want to attack this by reporting it as animal abuse. I'm not familiar with the site in which it's posted, do they allow this sort of thing, can you report the ad as abusive?

That is so sad! The price is not so bad but there is an 80% chance she will def need a c section so really her price is around $2500, with vet checkups, c section, etc not to mention she might not be up to dates on shots, etc. since this person sounds careless, poor baby

This is horrible! I could make the trip and come up with half the money but I don't know how I would react when I seen this woman in person!...i'm in Central Kentucky....How much do you guys think a c section would cost?

Nancy, Im always quick to help in anyway, so thanks for bringing me back down to the real world. I just want to help. We have so many different Threads going on right now that contradict each other, and I just went to a Shelter this morning and saw about 100 dogs needing homes, this is a huge problem. But if only, we all helped in some way.Strength works in numbers. To be an animal lover is to Love the most Beautiful and the one covered in mange. To see this girl pregnant and looking so sad, just makes us want to reach out and help. Sure calling the cops will help future crooks but what about THIS Girl? What happens to her. A shelter? Someone wanting to make money from these puppies? then guess what, this cycle continues! How can we help this girl?

I know what you mean, so I contacted a few experts on this sort of thing, and perhaps we will find the best way to proceed. I'm so worried of her going into the wrong hands, and a shelter is preferable, to a "greeder".

This is a sticky situation because we all want to help that little girl but she is clearly a greeder and giving her 1200 will just continue the cycle. It is so sad that little yorkie is paying for it but she clearly is going to continue doing this and she has other dogs she may be breeding. I think finding a way to have a animal protection service help would help all the dogs instead of putting more money in her pocket. Thank goodness for the wonderful hearts of YTers, but maybe we can think of a way to nip it at the source instead of supporting her money making business.

True. $2500 is an awful lot for a yorkie without papers. Actually, I guess $1200 is alot for a yorkie without papers.....:(

This stuff happens all of the time! These people pray on the good hearted people like the ones here who are so upset. They continue to do it because people continue to bail these pups out. I am not saying that it is easy to walk away....but, I do. I will not put any amount of money in the hands of people like this because that is why they do it. This is how they make a living ...off of poor defenseless pups. As long as people continue to fund them, they will continue to do this. These are lazy, mean people who need to go get a real job. :( They need to stop making money off of God's precious creatures.

I seriously doubt that any agency could do anything. While we see it as abuse and clearly it IS abusive, in the eyes of the law, it probably is not.

Now, if you can get her information and feel she is a byb or even a mill, then maybe you can get someone there to check her out.

They other avenue is to contact the IRS...anything she sells like this is taxable!

I know that nothing I am saying here is going to make anyone feel much better about this poor little baby and I am sorry if I sound cold; but I see this all of the time. I mostly avoid places like Kijji because it is a haven for such nasty irresponsible behavior. These wackos flock to those sites!

One thing I also want to say....Larry had the right idea. I would verify with her vet first that this story is true. There are SO many scams out there!

It looks like to me that this person actually wanted her 2females to become pregnant, so she could turn around and sell > I have a feeling that this was no accident. People love Yorkie's , and something like this tugs at our heartstrings , because these are precious , beautiful dogs. I hate to thnkt that this person delibertely planned for this to happen so she could have the money to move! I agree with you on this, and with so many breeders who breed "teacups" this is their practice. They aren't willing to shill out the money needed for the surgery, so they just sell the pregnant dog to the highest bidder! Perhaps shooting it too humane!

Yea I dont think it is any accident that she has 2 females pregnant and wants to sell them. I think giving money to her would be rewarding her. I dont ever get on the kijji site so I didnt realize there were so many bad breeder ads on there.

It is just that there are SO many scammers and creeps out on the internet. They post pups on internet classifieds all of the time..many calling themselves rescuers when in fact they are just making money off of the backs of pups. Just totally disgusting. Sure, you do get a naive person and it is always good to help them; but I largely avoid these ads because the vast majority are not there for the welfare of the pups they are advertising.

We do have one person interested and I am wiling to make the trip, but I can not be any clearer. THIS SMELLS LIKE SCAM. Especially now that she has TWO! And of course, because she calls them Teacup.

I would urge the people near here or in the same state to contact Animal Control, Humane Society and her vet. Does anyone have the name of the vet yet? I would much rather go pick up the dog from the pound and bring it to someone who can then use the $1200 saved to pay for all of this dogs vet bills that are sure to follow. I would be willing to take both little girls back with me. Has anyone really seen two Yorkies fight and when they are pregnant on top of that???

Someone rescuing an animal does not charge for it. She was given both of these Yorkies? We all know there has been a rash of little dogs getting stolen? Please, someone in this state needs to confirm this is legit and its not a stolen dog, puppy mill or money hungry grub.

The reason she is trying to sell the dogs is because she is in a bad relationship and her Mother bought her a house for her and her dogs and 4 children!!!! She can't move with all of that plus baby pups! O.k.... I hope you are sitting down.....She is selling the dogs becasue she needs the $$$ to MOVE and she can't take that many dogs with her!!!!!:mad:

You would think she would get more than 1200 if she sold all the pups....sounds really really fishy to me.

I would love to take the mommas but I am in California and have my own pregnant momma.

I would not pay her $1,200 for that female even if she was fixed and not pregnant.

The dog is not registered.

It's all just so crazy.

Now if she wanted to turn her over to me for free---- I would gladly take on the vet bills and find the pups homes.

It just seems all so wrong.

I have no idea if it is a scam or not, so of course if someone decides to take her, the money should be dropped off after you see the dog, etc. I do agree that it could be a planned thing and it's not right to support it but at the same time if the dog is rescued soon enough, a vet may be able to spay her and terminate the pregnancy to save the mom.

I know everyone seems to want to report this and they want the dog to go to the humane society or whatever. Welllll, you do NOT want her to go to the Macomb County Humane Society and that is where Warren is located. Please see Insider Pages for some reviews on the place. She would likely be euthanized very quickly...

I'm not jumping to take offense here, but I hope your post isn't directed towards me? I knew this info would be of some use to those who cared. I have been around long enough to know what happens..and I know the odds.
Had nothing to do with you or anyone else. Just because someone says something and sounds convincing, does not make it so. And...just so you know.....millers do this...they are heartless and they let you know that so that you will come give them money! I have no idea who she is or even if she has two pregnant yorkies...just stating how I read this. Just an FYI so that people can think before they jump into something that may end up a total cluster.

My thoughts exactly! She bred her on purpose so she could get more money for her!! I really hope someone who's less interested in money and more interested in the dogs ends up with her.

Sad thing is, even if someone were to buy her there truly is no guarantee that she is pregnant nor if she is pregnant by another yorkie. She is adorable! I don't know.... sad.

The really sad thing is that if there is a pregnant female and someone buys her, this woman will probably have another to sell. :mad: Easy money.

If I read the ad right she took pics of them breeding which means she didn't do anything to even stop it (or did I read that wrong?). She sounds like a lunatic. Maybe she's not but from what I've read so far, nothing adds up!!

I totally agree with you Nancy! Let her put the dog into a shelter and we can go and pick her up! This is ridiculous to feed into some POS who has 2 pregnant pups and kids and is moving and needs money! :eek:

I would like to add that she also has an ad under the same phone number that she is breeding and selling another puppy.

Unfortunately, this is NOT illegal and goes on all the time. There are pregnant females in dog auctions all over the country being sold. No, it is not good for the mother but these people just do not care. :thumbdown

If you gather up the money to purchase this little girl all you are doing is making another spot for her to add a new female to breed to her "great stud"!

Gathering the money to go and purchase her is no better than gathering money to go to an auction or mill and pay the millers. It just is not right and really does no good.

I will guarantee you that this entire story with this woman is a total lie just looking for people like us that will dish out $1200 to her. It makes me sick that I have to breath the same air as people like her but really there is no good solution to the problem.

I didn't even dig around that much and already I have found a huge hole in her story! There is no way that she took this little girl to a reputable vet and not only did he say that is was fine that she is going to have a litter of puppies but it is alright to sell her! :mad:

Just the other day I did an entire thread in the rescue forum about posting Kijii ads. There are no reputable people that are selling dogs on that website. I would say that it is just as bad as Hobbly.com! I can also add that not that long ago I saw a post on Craigslist telling everyone to post their dogs on Kijii because they have NO RULES!~

Now if she would be willing to give this dog to a rescue I would get into my car tomorrow for her. Everyone could then make donations to a REPUTABLE RESCUE to save her. By paying this PoS a dime all that you are doing is adding to the perpetual abuse that is going on.
