I had a mobile groomer come to my house yesterday , she asked if I could not stay with Laci because she will want me, I told her TRIM her up , not shaved , just trim... well guess what I came in and she cut her top not OFF, I am furious... I was yelling at the poor girl... but I dont feel bad at all, I cant even believe she did it.. Laci is only 6 months old, how long before it grows to put a pony tail in.. I cant even tell you how irate I am I was crying and yelling, she asked me if Laci wore bows... I have hundreds of dollars worth of bows OMG I am soo angry !! She just kept saying no she looks cute, I really wanted to cut her pony tail off and tell her she looked cute... uurrgghhh , how long does top knot hair take to grow back on a puppy... she nearly shaved it

| I'm sorry. That's a shame. Usually, the mobile groomers are pretty good too with not doing that kind of thing. Did you get your money back?

If not, why didn't you refuse to pay her? Most groomers (and stylists, for that matter) will not collect from you if you are not completely satisfied.

| Yes I had to pay her before!! I know it was stupid but she asked for the money up front, she isnt a mobile groomer with a van she actually come in your house and uses your tub and sets up a grooming table in the kitchen... I had sent her a picture of Laci, she saw her in pigtails which Laci always wore...I explained everything to her, no cut just a trim , of course I didnt say dont cut her topknot off BECAUSE I DIDNT THINK I WOULD HAVE TOO! I just thought it was common knowledge that she wouldnt do it!

| Oh my, that is really upsetting! I remember when I had our groomer give Adie a puppy cut because I was so tired of her fighting me when I would do her topknot. I hated it and couldn't wait for it to grow back in. I don't think it took year though. If Laci had a topknot at 6 months I would imagine that she will be back to where she was by the time she is a year old or sooner. Isn't she still loosing puppy fur at that age? Lets see some before and after photos. I bet she is as cute as a bug! |

| We has Sugar shaved down to a puppy cut cuz it was getting close to summer heat time here in Florida - they cut her top knot off too! That was the end of march and I can get a bow in now (she is 2 and a half years old). |

| I cant even take a picture because I am furious, I will when I calm down.. I am just so angry you have NO idea.. it was the stupidest hair cut I have ever seen... here is the bad thing.. my daughters fiance is a groomer and I dont like to take her where he works because I hate leaving her all day and he is sissor happy too, so I opted for this girl, I just wish I had let him cut her!! He does bigger dogs and is not really experienced in Yorkies and Laci hates going to the shop... he doesnt like to do it at my house either because he doesnt have a table and she is not good for him because she knows him to well UURRGGHHH Im so frustrated.... I should have just taken her there!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Oh I feel your pain...been there, done that and was thoroughly ticked off. I had specifically TOLD one groomer...do NOT cut any of the hair on Reggie's head. None, zip, zero. I don't know how this was misunderstood...because I said it repeatedly. And she did it anyway. She got an earful and lost my business. I hope she didn't trim at bridge of her nose too. You can expect it to take a year to grow back.

| I cannot believe a groomer would cut off a topknot without asking!! That is horrible. I have had my share of poor groomings. I have also done it myself. I figure at my worst, I never did as bad as a couple of groomers I had to pay. But I have also had excellent groomers who worked magic on my dogs. The same thing happens to my own hair. I am sporting a VERY short cut right now that was supposed to be a medium length bob. Somehow that got confused with "cut it to ear lobe length!" It was so uneven, I had to go the next day and pay another stylist to even it up. I tipped the first stylist too! How silly is that? Somehow it is even more aggravating on our Yorkies though. We take such pride in their coats and having it get long enough for that topknot is a milestone we eagerly await. To have someone just dash it all because they couldn't pay attention to what you wanted, is frustrating to say the least! I bet it is long enough to make a starter topknot in 4-6 months. I will check back for pictures. I am betting Laci still looks cute as a button despite the inattentive groomer! I have to tell you, I seriously LOL'd when I read your comment, "I really wanted to cut her pony tail off and tell her she looked cute."
