| ![]() I suggest you buy a Wahl peanut trimmer ($40-$50 @ Sally's Beauty supply), a grooming table ($35 @Petedge), some scissors ($25 on sale now @ Petedge), and a Yorkie grooming video ($25 on eBay), and you'll be in business. I'm sure you already have all the combs and brushes you need. Your puppy will never have a bad hair cut again, and think of all the money you'll save over the lifetime of your dog. ![]() My groomer is my best friend, and she does a wonderful job grooming my dog. But it is just so easy for me to groom my yorkie to suit myself every week after he gets his bath. I just finished trimming him an hour ago and he looks GREAT. I'm so glad I finally invested in the little grooming table. It makes it a breeze to groom him. The video I bought on eBay shows how to do the puppy cut AKA teddy bear cut, the schnauzer cut, and the long "show style" trim. It goes over everything step by step and teaches you everything you need to know. I watched it twice before I started grooming my dog. It is really helpful. I know if I can groom my dog and make him look good, ANYONE can. Good luck to you. I hope your baby's hair grows back soon. She is adorable.

| ![]() I had a terrible experience with a mobile groomer once and I never will again! She had one of those small motor homes that park in your driveway. My dog looked great but then I noticed under her top knot were these little spots that looked like tiny bugs or something. I took out the top knot and there was a gash in the top of her head and the spots were scabs or dried blood. I don't ever remember being so furious! I understand accidents happen but at least tell me so I can take care of it! ![]() |

| ![]() Ohhhhh, she is soooooo cute! I totally understand your frustration and feel for you both! But she has the most beautiful face!!!! I'm glad that your post sounds like you've calmed down some now. I'm sure tons of puppy kisses and hugs helped that. I've read so many stories just like this on here that I'll always to Barley and Mischa (poodle) myself. I went to Care-A-Lot pet supply and bought a pair of scissors for $12.00. It was the best $12.00 I've ever spent. I really think you can do it. Esp since you've taken cosmotology. It's the same principal. I just rented a dog grooming video from my library and watched it twice, just like someone else on here recommended to you too. It helped me understand that the most important thing is to brush the hair/fur in the direction it growns, get all knots out first and then cut. Barley doesn't look like he's ready for the runway, but I'm getting better with each cut and he looks clean cut and healthy ;o) I'm so glad you seem to be feeling better!!! ((((((((HUGS)))))))

Yorkie Talker | ![]() One great idea I have learned over 8 years of Yorkie cuts- If I ever go to a new groomer- I have drawn a picture of a yorkie on a 3x5 card and I mark in red only what they are allowed to cut, then there is no confusion and they better not touch anything else. They keep the card on file and I find this works where nothing else ever did ( even threats!) This had worked now for 7 years! ![]() Sashas' Mom |

OMG Im so sorry this happened to you! It happened to me too! It takes that top part of that hair about 2 months to grow back for prince, i beleive. I would NOT had paid for that. I woulda kicked her out of my house because she did NOT LISTEN to you! Let her know you are going to tell everyone what happened because she did not listen. I only take Prince to an older lady in Panama City Florida when I come to visit my parents from college which is about once a month because NO ONE in orlando, florida can get it right!!!! | |
