| A bit ticked! I know of somebody who was planning on getting a yorkie pup, I happen to notice on my f.b about the excitement, I said yorkies are great and they aren't like regular dogs, I tried to share some knowledge and the mistakes I made when getting mine! I wanted to be helpful. So I go on to ask where she is getting the pup and so on, she says she is payin 175 for the pup I said I bet I know from where, and it is a scam, theres no way in heck you will find one for that price, unless it is an older retired yorkie, not a puppy. She goes on to tell me it's the size of a pop can and won't get any bigger! She sends me the email and I tell her it's one of those puppy scams and explain it to her, she seemed to understand and thanked me for helping her! Today I go on f.b and I see this girl posted a comment on her friends picture which was of the pup and she says " TAKE THE PICTURE OFF, I HAVE BEEN TALKING TO THIS LADY AND I AM GETTING THE PUPPY " Hello did she READ anything I said to her yesterday? This is an old friend, we're not so close any more but chat online often. |

| Some just have to learn on their own. Hopefully she isn't disappointed when the puppy starts growing to where she give it away.

| All you can do it try to warm her and you did that. Now it's a waiting game. I am sure she'll be contacting you crying when she loses her $. I hope she reconsiders. |

I sent her one last attempt, an email with a couple links to people who were scammed and their story, if she decides to go for it anyways well then I guess she is stupid enough to get ripped off and I will just have the pleasure of saying I TOLD YOU SO when she spends her cash and no pup comes,

| You should tell her to send your regards to the Nigerian missionary who needs to send that poor puppy back to the states. Did you ever read this thread? If you want a really good laugh and have some time: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...ails-here.html

| You were being a good friend trying to warn her. I guess some people just don't listen and have to learn on their own. Hopefully she catches on when they ask her to send the money via moneygram.

| I got my boys for $150 each. They came from a reputable breeder online and they arrived healthy, happy, and well adjusted. They were 4 months old at the time and I think that is the reason they were so reasonable, because for puppies they were "old". They didn't come from a puppy mill or anything like that. I have actually become friends with the breeder and she is always asking about them and their progress. If she is interested I can put her in contact with the person. And sometimes we just have let friends/acquaintances/coworkers fall, some people never learn until they do |

| Wow! I didn't know there was a way to get Yorkies for $100 dollars. There was someone on this board earlier today wanting to find a Yorkie for that price.

| I think the money is an issue for her, I showed her one for 500 and she said she would have to think about it. I paid 500 and mine was 1.5 years old. I think that is alot now that I think about it but at the time I didn't care she was so sweet and needed a home. I'd love to see where you got yorkies for so cheap though, wow that is crazy!! My friend emailed me today and said she is not going to try getting that pup, she will trust my word. I know how it is, you see a cute pup and it's hard not to believe its real. Hopefully she does listen and isn't lying about it. |

its a scam they tell u they are going to ship you the dog and you end up paying shipping and whatever other bogus cost either through a fake escrow site, or western union, and you never get a dog. They do the same thing with cars too. I used to work at Autotrader.com and people would get scammed out of thousands of dollars out of cars and dogs (we dealt with bargaintrader.com as well.) Some people would call and ask "is this a scam." and Id say YES we are removing the ad now and then they would still go through with it and get scammed. Some people ust have to learn for themselves and get scammed!
