| Made my list and checking it twice!!! I have several toys, bully sticks (coming), bows (quite an assortment), pin brush, combs, nail clippers, a playpen, puppy pads, and a crate is on the way! Should be here Thursday!!! And it is PINK!!! She LOVES Honey Nut Cheerios so I have a little Cheerios treat container like you use for toddlers that I put her "treats" in. I bought some puppy nail polish too (Couldn't resist!) I have a couple of little dresses that were baby gifts too. My list to get at Petco on the way to get Zoë is: Puppy shampoo Toothbrush and paste Wellness Puppy Treats Wellness Puppy Food Science Diet (while we transition) Puppy Wipes Collar or Harness and leash Nutrical Some Fleece blankets-(I am going to look at Target for those.) A dryer from Petco???? I read that they are supposed to be more quiet than a normal hair dryer. I thought I should get one and use it from the beginning so she gets used to it also I don't want her to get chilled. We have still had some pretty cool days here-down to the 50's and it is summer!! I am SO excited!!!!!!!!! Can you think of anything else??? |

| Okay, so I am going to try to complete your list by thinking of what I needed for June or what worked for her. So, before you put bows in her hair, it is a good idea to get some hairbands (not rubber) to help her get used to the idea. I would also get a nail file because their nails can really hurt you after they are clipped - the edge are very sharp. The hair dryer is a good idea, I am thinking of getting one for mine. Petstages makes a great toy that can be warmed up in the microwave to help your new puppy get comfortable. June absolutely loves hers. For those potty training accidents, get a good cleaner that removes the scent for you and for the puppy. My last piece of advice is to stock up on as many chew toys as possible, they go through them very, very quickly.

| One gallon of there water, then slowly ween Zoe to your water. This will help to prevent possible diarrhea. |

| Never attach a leash to your collar, this can cause a collapsed Trachea. Last edited by airstreamer; 06-09-2009 at 03:42 PM. |

I got a PINK crate that has a hook for the seat belt. It will really be hard to put her in it for the ride home though. I have read that some people will hold and others not. We'll see.

You won't have it in time for Sunday, but I'd contact Chattiesmom and order an adjustable silk harness as soon as you have her. I've used the same harness on a 4 lb rescue girl that I use on my 13 lb girl. And they are beautiful!

| Hi again! It sounds like you're really prepared for your new baby! I agree with Gingersmom about ordering a harness from YT member Chattiesmom. She custom makes them for your baby's measurements so they fit great, they're beautiful, and they ride low enough that there's no threat to the throat area. I would start with a small bag of the new puppy food just to make sure she likes it. Congratulations, and good luck!!!

Good idea about the food. I don't think I will change her food at all for the first week and then gradually transition her (or try) to the Wellness.
