| ![]() Sophie is my very first dog EVER!!! However, when I first started dating my now DH, he had a Great Dane. She lived another 4-5 years. She was the BEST dog. She listened to my DH, but she loved me! We sadly had to have her PTS due to serious health problems when she was 12 years old (old for a GD). It was a very hard thing to do and I still miss her. ![]() Sooooo... going from 150 lb. dog to a plump 10 lb. dog (yep Sophie is a teapot) is quite a big difference. ![]() |

| ![]() I grew up with Poms. As a child , on one of my Birthdays, my parents gave me a present: ) I got to go with them and choose a new friend. A baby pom. That was one of my most favorite memories as a kid. The little pom became my dog. She followed me everywhere. I was 12 ! I had only own cats as an adult . I love cats too. But, then I was not allowed to have them due to apartment restrictions. I never owned a dog on my own before. I became fully disabled a couple of years ago, and was approved a service dog . I looked and looked. I knew I wanted a small breed dog. The Yorkie won over my heart, even though I had not seen one in real life. Suzi was the first Yorkie ever that I had seen before as a puppy and in real life, she was even more beautiful then I had ever imangined. It was love at first sight ![]() If I am lucky to bring home anther baby, I may consider a maltese, westie, Jack Russel, or anther yorkie baby. It is so hard to decide !
