| Good thing dogs arent allowed to drink beer!! Ok, I need to know if anyone else has this problem. This morning Marley was exceptionally thirsty. I have never seen her drink that much water! I mean if that was beer she would have been 3 sheets to the wind t half the water she drank. Nothing in it , just clear liquid. She has been eating normally, pooping normally, and everything else is normal, no change in schedule or anything. She has also done this with food at times. Eats so much that she pukes, but its on a very RARE occasion. It's like she binges ( does this like once in a blue moon ) but I free feed her so I don't know why she would be doing this. Any suggestions?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I would suggest not free feeding her. Feed smaller amounts 2-3 times a day. The water... if she keeps doing that, give her less water at a time. If excessive water continues, maybe a visit to the vet. Diabetics experience excessive thirst.

| Mine will sometimes drink a lot too, usually in the morning when he first gets up. Once he drank so much I could hear the water sloshing in his belly when he ran. It seems he was so thirsty during the night but since he couldn't get out of his crate to drink he overdoes it when he does get up. But if it were happening frequently or throughout the day they should be checked for health problems.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Suggest the same! Maybe talk with your vet also. Let us know how it goes.

| I find with mine if they have not ate or drank for a long periods of time (all night) they can throw up in the morning after eating or drinking too much. I put down just a little bit of water in the morning so they have something in their bellies but not enough to make their tummies upset. Then about 15-30 mins later give them more water and their food that they can now hold down. |
