So introducing my Yorkie pup to my current dog didn't go to well

Having only introduced small dogs I had good luck with just bringing the new one in and monitoring them until I knew they all got along. They all did well. As theygot older and ise to each other then they started their little fights and picking on each other. With a large dog and a small dog it is really important that they aren't together alone until you are certain they get along.

lol its true isn't it they have no idea. The other day I had to grab Tia (5lb 5oz)quick ,as she wanted to go play with a huge rotty nothing against them of course but I didn't know the dog

I saw on Animal Planet this couple had a pack of 6 dogs and two fought bad. The trainer said when you get them both together reward them so they associate the other dog with something pleasant (ex: feed pieces of chicken while sitting side by side)

This is not true... small dogs (not just yorkies) can tend to have BIG dog attitudes. I have one is dog aggressive and one that isn't.

To the OP.....It took several weeks (probably more like months) before Sadie would accept Lillie. Sadie didn't like her new fursister.......AT ALL! I was determined that they were going to become best friends...well...they aren't "best" friends but, Sadie has accepted her...they play and will sleep on the couch together...Sadie is Alpha and will snap at Lillie from time to time...never hurts her though...just wants to let her know that this was HER house first....Give them time....eventually they will become friends when your new little guy realizes that the older one isnt' going anywhere.

He is a medium size dog mixed with a chow and pomeramiam (I think) I got him from my neighbor when his dog had puppies. I will put a picture of him in my photo album
