| This place really is a rescue! I live about 15 minutes from Middletown and I would adopt from them in a heartbeat. They work hard and a lot of their rescues are physically compromised and they do such incredible work. The woman who runs it---- it is her passion to help these pups. They also do boarding and if I ever had no choice but to board, this would be my go to place. |

Yes, I saw Nugget too. He is adorable but really what took me most is the chocolate. I always wanted a chocolate but have never seen any in rescue. He's the first I've seen. I have not hear a thing back from them. I'm waiting on more info. and for the application. I wasn't able to download it from the site for some reason. Before I fill it out though I would like to get a feel for what kind of rescue they are. I read their site and they do sound legite but would stll like some more info. on how they came into rescue etc. Thanks. Elaine | |

| Probably going to pass. I still haven't heard anything (Bill "Bildio" Thanks for sending the application to me). I am probably going to pass. I finally had some time to go through their (the rescues) site and looked through the dogs available for adoption and although they have seniors they seem to have a very large amount of pure bred pups. I know one of our members said she lives 15 min. from them and they are legit but still I have to wonder why or how so many puppies have ended up on their site for adoption. I'm not pointing fingers or making accusations but as someone very involved with rescue I know how rare it is to see pure bred pups in rescue. They do come but not in the large amounts that I've seen in some rescues. It just seems that so many are either using these pups to make the $$ for the dogs that aren't being adopted quickly or they are brokers posing as rescues. Anyway, I think I'm just going to pass on applying. I'm very fortunate that I have five wonderful Yorkies all rescues and I'm sure if a sixth is in the cards he or she will come. After all my excitement over finding a chocolate on petfinder, finally settled down and I thourghly looked through and thought about it I'm just uncomfortable with the amount of pure bred pups they have. Thanks everyone for your well wishes and thanks again Bill for sending the application to me. Elaine |
