| your little puppy might be starting to go trhoughthe teething stage. It is natural for him to want to bite/chew on everything he can sink his teeth into. bully sticks are great ! Look for little teething toys for puppies . These are especially designed for little pups to chew on. He ought to really like those. Give him toys that are just the right size for him to play with , not too big or too small. Make sure he is getting plenty of exersize and playtime outside of his crate too. I don't know about chewing on the crate specifically , because I have not ever used one. But, he probably would chew on an xpen as well.
