| My bf didn't NEED a new bed, however with 2 boys who also sleep horizontally he thought it would be great to have his Queen size bed in his spare bedroom and a brand spankin new King bed for the bedroom for the 4 of us. It worked out soooo well! LOL Now at my house I have started the transition of them from under the covers into a bed that I bought that is at the end of my bed, still on the bed. Sometimes one of them will sleep through the night in it but never both of them, at least not yet. Last night, I yelled at Fletch for lifting a leg on my tv speaker and he took off and didn't come back down, bf went up and he was laying his little bed at the foot of my bed. He was exhausted but that was where he punished himself to! LOL It felt like a small victory and we didnt want to say anything and make him think that peeing in the house was ok if he goes to that bed, but we were glad to see him FINALLY acknowledge it as HIS bed!

| I couldn't do it, go without sleep. I need 8hrs every night or I'm out of it the next day. The worst thing he used to do was watch me when it got light out. He stares at my eyes waiting to see them open. I feel his breath on my face he's so close. I burst out laughing many times only to have all hell break out in bed, that I can take at 6 am but not to sleep because this looney tune wants to dive on an off the bed at night I can't deal with that. I have no idea how you do it, Gina. I love him to pieces but sleep I must. |

| The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | I've got 4 dogs in my bed. An English Cocker spaniel (she weighs 40 lbs) and my three Yorkies. Thank goodness I have a queen size bed but sometimes I wish it were a king. Not one of the dogs will sleep elsewhere at night and of course, getting as close to me as possible makes it even more difficult. My Maxie even sleeps with his head on my pillow. Such is the life of a dog lover! |

I know. I miss him for sure but until he stops this nightime activity I will sleep in my quees size bed alone. Funny thing is he's not complaining. Maybe I made up his mind for him. He wanted to spend 1/2 the night with me the other 1/2 off the bed. Who knows. I just find it really strange this is happing at this point in his life.

Many times, her favorite things to do is to dogpile on me, as soon as i lay down on the couch! She may be small, but, gosh, it's when I least expect it, she jumps full speed right on my chest! then licks me to death. Doggie antics at bedtime, it get old real fast. I would miss the cuddle time and security of my Suzi in the bed though, however I do not know how much I could take it either if she decided to "play" and jump all over the bed full speed ahead when it's time for bed . Glad that Buddy has taken to his bed ! What a good boy he is ! I do think he just wanted to get a last min. play out before night night time.

I wish it were before bedtime, however, it's all during the night. I go mostly right back but sometimes I cant. How many times can you wake up and go back to sleep? I wish he could talk and explain this nuttiness to me. |

| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | After I had 6 in the bed and could not sleep without being afriad I would roll over on one I decided to give them their own room. It hurt me more than them..lol but has worked out great. I still have Jenna in my bed because the other girls want to pick on her so i keep her with me most of the time.

| Could it be that since it is warmer out now, people are out later and he hears them? Otis just turned 5. It's been pretty hot here. He has chosen to sleep in the front room the last few days. I don't know if he doesn't like the ceiling fan blowing on him, or it's too warm in the bed. Who knows, they are funny little creatures aren't they? The first couple of nights I went and got him and brought him into the bed again, but he jumped down and back into the front room. I had to make myself get over it!! Who knew my feelings could get hurt by a dog not wanting to sleep with me!!! Hope you get some sleep soon!

| Carol, glad you are getting your beauty rest again. I tried sleeping with my two in bed and they roll around and tussle so much, up and down, egging each other on, that I finally gave up. They really are so much happier in their crates next to my bed. Even the door being open, they climb in and settle down. It works for all of us. We cuddle in bed to watch tv or to sleep in on the weekend, but otherwise we all have our own space.

| When I got Mayzie (9wks) she slept in a little doll playpen next to my bed. It was the cutest little thing. It was a miniture pack n play (I have it in my closet....just in case ) Then when she started to get out of that I put her in my bed. She slept there until she was one and decided to get off sometime through the night, pee on the floor and then want back up. Around that time I aquired Mo who was 3 at the time. I put them both in my laundry room and they have never made a peep. They are perfectly happy and so am I! No guilt here. They sleep better and so do my husband and I.I guess I should mention that she is now almost 3 1/2 and Mo will be 6 on Thursday.

| Carol, You always seem to make the best decisions for you and Buddy. Way to go! Has his night wandering subsided now that he's on his own? BTW, I feel like I remember reading once why your user name is Archie. Maybe now would be a good time to reenlighten us. ![]() ![]()

After reading through the posts, its interesting to me that some of you would allow your Yorkies to get under the covers and also on your pillows. One of mine likes to try that after he "builds his nest" for the night, but we never let him. In fact, our rule is the yorkies are not allowed on the sheets, and have to stay with blanket between them and us humans. The reason for that is we have found ticks on them before, and we found one in our bed once, and also both of us at one time have found one in our hair. Although very rare, once is one too many times for that! I will only snuggle with them at night as long as there is some blanket between us, in case they have picked up a tick; we use frontline, but they can still have one crawling on them.
