| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Found a Yorkie, and I think she's pregnant! Well the title tells it all, I've posted signs around the neighborhood, and a neighbor lady is helping me put this on Craig's list, and other online sites, any other advice, on what to do or who to call? I was told if I call animal control authorities, they would pick it up, and we're kind of afraid to do that. I've never had a female, but she's shorter than Joey, and weighs 2 ½ pounds more. She's 8 pounds, but she looks like she's supposed to weigh about 4. She seems to have to pee very small amounts quite often. I've never had a female dog, and don't know the first thing about them.

				 | No, please don't let animal control get her. I heard on TV last night about a shelter putting a dog down 30 minutes after they got it. They didn't even give the owners a chance to look for it. |

				 | Nancy good luck finding her owners they are probably frantic looking for her. Maybe if you just call the shelter and ask if they have anyone looking for a missing yorkie girl they can give you some names without having to give your name. |

				 | The shelter should be fine with you keeping the dog, if you call them. You can call the shelter and tell them you found a yorkie and they will document that, so if someone comes in looking for her, they can find that information. I would also put up fliers all over the place. Does it look like she's well taken care of? I am really hoping that someone didn't drop her off... I'm sure someone out there is a mess because they have lost her. Do everything you can to find her owners

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I found another dog several years ago, on the 4th of July, poor little thing probably ran away because of all the noise, and I called the pound that night, and they just said I could keep it until someone called for it. The next morning I got a call from the owners. I was going to do it this time, but the neighbor was so insistent that the pound wouldn't let me keep it till the new owner could be found, that I was afraid to call them. Rest assured, I wasn't going to take it to the pound, but only let them know where it was, in case someone called. Thanks for all the advice; I'll check out that lead. Someone is probably frantic; I know I would be. She's such a sweet little thing.

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | The owner has been found and I feel so stupid, the dog isn't even pregnant, just really fat, lol, I don't know how much she's suppose to weigh but she seemed smaller in statue than Joey, and yet weighed so much more, and he's not exactly skinny. Turns out it was a woman's, who lived in the neighborhood, just right around the corner, and she just got home from work. Apparently, her son or his friends left a door or gate open, the woman was absolutely going out her mind, and she saw one of our flyers, in another neighbor's window. Like I said before I never had a female dog so I just assumed it was pregnant with all that weight, and the dog is over 16 years old, so I guess a little extra weight at that age isn't that bad. I had no idea the dog was that old either, she really look great. I guess people will stop listening to my expert advice. Joey seemed to really take to her, and I think was a little sad when she left. Thanks for all the help.

				 | I am so happy that there was a happy ending for the little girl. I know the lady must have been scared to death. So happy you found her and took great care of her until her mommy showed up. Good job!
