I think all breeders should love what they do and love their babies and I would never try to make a good breeder look bad or anyone else for that matter. I just like one of the other posters have read so much on YT since I joined about the dangers in breeding a 3 pound girl that I felt the need to understand why you would risk them. Like I said before I discussed what poor little Lolo had been through at her size and my vet was appalled. I am glad for your baby that you found her a good home. I hope also (and maybe I missed this) that she will be spayed before leaving your home.

Well, for 4 feet 6 inches, you should weigh about 80 lbs

Congrats Natalie for finding her a wonderful home!!
I appologize for all the negativity that comes with posts like this, it seems to happen here alot. I do wish everyone would try to be more positive in what they say before people feelings get hurt. I know you have tiny females you breed but with over 25 years of experience in this type of breeding it's obvious you know what your doing and ppl need to see that.

I can speak from experience with one of your tiny females having her puppies easily since I have Dotty here with me in California. For those of you who don't know me I am also a breeder and have several of Natalie's yorkies here with me in my breeding program. Dotty who is 3 lbs. recently had 4 beautiful babies in my California home. She was bred to one of Natalies' tiny males named Joshua who weighs 1 lb. 8 ounces. These puppies are tiny and very healthy, this is the first time i have had babies so tiny but with Natalie's experience and assistance they all did perfectly well from the time they were born till now. The are 11 weeks old and just beautiful and so playful. Natalie I just want you to know I stand behind you and your breeding program, as I know your many years of experience play a major role in your ability to produce healthy tinys.

sorry, but, it still doesn't make it right, and there are A LOT OF 20+ year breeders that say nothing under 4 1/2 lbs! it's too dangerous!

I think the most important thing and reason for this thread was to find this little girl a good home... Which I think she has. Lets remain positive here and if you really want to get something off your chest perhapes PMing the breeder would be better instead of posting that someone is over weight. Let's keep it about the dogs guys.

I agree! Personal opinion aside some of these comments are totally unnecessary and rude.

Congratulations on finding your sweet little girl a home Natalie!

I didn't mean over weight, heck, I'm way over weight, I'm just saying that the charts show for a woman that is 4'6" they should weigh 80 lbs. she said she was 86(how I wish I were only 6 lbs over my ideal weight), we were just using that with the size of the puppy that is used for breeding is all.

Natalie, your heart is in your breeding program 100%. All you were trying to do was find a loving, forever home for one of your beautiful female's. You did not deserve all of the backlash. I support you . As with the negative feedback, do not take it personnaly. Your doing what you love to do.
Cathy

I honestly dont think any of us are intending to be rude. The weight issue of the poster was brought up by herself as a comparison and we were responding to that. I have said 2 times now how happy I am that she has found this little girl a home. That being said I really am confused because I read all the sections on here and I dont know how many times I have seen people with 3 lb yorkies ask if it was ok to breed them and 50 "good" breeders jump in and tell them absolutely not to breed anything under 4 1/2 lbs. So my question is , is it ok if you are already an established breeder even though you all have told others over and over how risky it is for them to practice this? I call that double standards but thats JMO.
