Coral is 5 1/2 months and I just noticed that she is licking my other dog's face. Lilo is a female pit/french bulldog mix and when the 3 of us are all cuddled on the couch Coral will just start licking Lilo's entire head (mouth, eyes, ears, etc.) Lilo doesn't seem to mind, she will just lay there most of the time. Does your yorkie do this? Is it a loving thing? a submissive thing? any ideas???

Mika does this to my Staffie and Gt Dane when he is laid down and they don't seem to mind. I think he is just showing his love for them as he is the youngest.

Jewels does that to Chachi sometimes and I just think she is showing affection

Becca used to do that to Alexander. I always believed it was her way of saying 'I love you'.

Rosie does that to Rocky all the time. I always thought she was showing him affection. He doesn't seem to mind, and sits there for her. I can always tell she has been around him, just by looking at his wet face. LOL!

My little Yorkie (7 months) licks the cat's faces when they let him. He loves them, but the affection is not returned. Grumpy old cats. tucker's mom

In the "My Yorkie Videos" section there is a super-cute video of 2 yorkies tongue-kissing each other for several minutes on end.

That is so adorable

We don't have any other animials in the house, however our little Suzi is a licker to us! Constantly shows us how much she loves us by cleaning our faces , noses, ears, forehead, the works. She is such a silly girl.

Isn't it sort of a dominance thing/grooming thing My dominant yorkie (deceased) used to groom the face of my more docile yorkie.

Tater does it to Coco and it drives her nuts!!!! I have no idea why though. I know licking is supposed to be submissive but he always is trying to dominate her, so I thought it was dominance...or he just likes to be really really annoying! She puts both her paws on his face and pushes him away.

Cali and Roxie will lick each other's faces or Pixie's. They just started doing it about 4 months ago.

my baby the pom=chi, will lick molie in the face first thing in the morning and get her up for breakfast.
