| What is best a seperate room, or a gated area? I have a small storage room that I was going to use for Dante when he arrives home, I was going to keep his crate, Wizdog/pee pads and food/water in there for the first little while . I'm wondering if this idea is okay?, or should I buy the gate thingy that wraps and make an enclosure? (not sure what they are called ) I hope the room idea is okay! Thanks in advance, you are all so helpful |

Thor's Human Donating Member | I think the room will be fine, but if you can, I recommend getting the gate. He will probably feel better if he can see you, rather than being isolated behind a closed door.

| Oh, I won't be closing the door, I will put a baby gate there to block it. That seem okay? If not, where do you buy the gates, I've never seen them around, I would probably have to purchase online because I live in a very small town with very few stores! Thanks |

| The thing you are talking about is an xpen or playyard but some of our yorkies learned to scale them at an early age lol. My DH had to make a top for ours because our little guy at 6 months and 2.9 lbs could climb right over the side and escape. We also tried putting him in our bathroom which would of been great as its 12x12 but....he chewed the corner off of the vanity (mama was a tad bit upset lol) Most of the time since I am retired he just goes with me but when he does have to stay now we put him in the xpen with the top on. He'll definitely want to be able to see you and feel near you when he is in his area. It will also be nice for him to have his own space.

| Line the storage room It's a fair size so I was going to put the Wizdog/pee pads in one corner and on the opposite side have his crate and food..should I cover the entire floor with pee pads, that could get pricy, lol |

| We have never put more than one pee pad out and have not had an issue even when we first brought Laddy home. |
