| Guess that mix... I'm curious as to what my baby is... As she still is a puppy, she looks like a Silky, especially before we had her hair cut (mistake!). Initially we thought she was Schunazer/Yorkie mix, but now I'm unsure. It doesn't matter to me, but I would like to be able to narrow down "what she is" when people ask me. Right now she is almost 6 months old and weighs @ 5 lbs. She's losing her baby teeth right and left if that helps with her age... Her most recent picturesare in her "pix" album. Thanks for any input! | I can see where you'd guess there may be some schnauzer in there-- her face has a bit of the shape that you'd expect in a schnauzer pup. What sort of texture is her fur?

| It is not real course, but it doesn't feel real smooth either. It seems as it is growing back straight with no wave. |

| Did you rescue her from a shelter? They didn't have any info on her? She looks more yorkie or silky to me than schnauzer, because of the coloring. Also the way the hair was cut can make her look more schnauzer-y. Maybe you should just say yorkie/silky mix. She's adorable!

| She had a rough start in life. I actually found her in a field about 2 miles from my home. At first I was thinking "wow, that cat has BIG ears"... but when I drove back by after a bit, she was still sitting there. I was afraid that she might be lost, so I got out and she ran right to me. She had no sign of a collar had ever been on her and we took her that evening to the vet down the street to she if maybe she was micro-chipped and we could find her home that way. She was not. At that time they guessed her age at almost 4 months. We were anxious for morning through afternoon, the next day, awaiting someone to put up a flyer or anything to alert of a missing puppy. We searched craigslist, animal shelter and humane society for lost dogs and after 2 weeks, we decided that she was going to join our family. As we never did come across anyone looking for a lost dog, my husband thinks that she was dumped off since she was so eager to be found and picked up. Kinda sad, but we just adore her!!! |

| Wow what a sad story but with a happy ending. I'm sure she was dumped there by the way she ran up to you (a stranger at that point), but that means it was meant to be! It was almost like she chose you! how old is she now? She is still changing color i bet. Uni changed colors a few times, and now she's done (I think). She had a gray racing stripe between her eyes, but now its all gold! funny...

| What a cutie! I'm so happy you found her. She does look like a yorkie/schnauzer mix, but the hair cut could make her look more like a schnauzer. You could always get her DNA tested (for the fun of it.)

| She is a precious baby and very lucky to have found you. Maybe God just sent that little angel down to you!! She looks very much like my mother's yorkie/schnauzer mix did when he was a baby. Whatever the mix, she is a darling. Congratulations. |

| Thank you.... Everyone is so nice here. I was hoping we could stay here at yorkie talk, even if she doesn't have yorkie in her. But I tend to think she does. |
