| down comforters, air conditioning, comfy? Hey everyone, so right now when Toby comes in bed with me around 5am I sleep with two down comforters, and he snuggles right up next to me, and under both!! Could he overheat??? and then... prob within a month (gotta love buffalo!) we will put the air conditioner in. so at that point, i'm wondering if he will be too cold??? Haha, are air co. units ok for these little guys? he is only 12 weeks now, but i was wondering if anyone ever used them? or down comforters...thanks! |

| Hi, I have two yorkie girls Ellie who is one year old and Leah who is nearly two years old, I use a down duvet on my bed and both my girls sleep with me underneath the duvet and when they get too hot they come out and sleep on the top of the duvet, when they feel chilled they tap me on the shoulder or head to lift the duvet back up so they can crawl back down underneath the duvet. I live in the UK and don't have air conditioning but I do sleep with the window open and it doesn't both my girls at all. Enjoy your new fur baby. |

| We have a down blanket on our bed that we use year round. It is very comfortable in both the cold and the heat and comes in handy with the air conditioner, too!!!!

| We use a down comforter all year round. Piper always sleeps under the blanket and if she gets hot she'll come out. She also lets me know when she gets cold and back under the comforter she gones. I always call her my little furnace. That little body sure can generate heat!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | It's quite natural for animals of any breed & birds will move away from heat even as infants. I wouldn't worry about it. He'll move if he's too warm.

YT 500 Club Member | It's so funny to read that so many of YT yorkies sleep UNDER the covers! Meg sleeps on top of our down duvet and has never acted hot/cold. Our A/C will be coming on within the month, too, and I'm wondering if she'll be too cold. She has a full coat right now (as much as she can have at 7 months) but we were toying with the idea of a trim for the summer heat.
