Too funny, named by your grandson. Well, BamBam sounds great... Next year you will get your female Baby.... Pebbles?

Chloe wants a husband, I've been thinking.......maybe soon

Yeah aren't they great and Chloe just loves laying on them cause they are so fluffy. I got the idea from the teenagers here. They make them for gifts (I got one from them) and also they do their scarfs that way. (I'm not a nut but... I made one to watch each one of her coats, we use them everytime we got out, for everything from laying on the floor, her security blankets, in the playpen, crate, car, lap. Should I have called her Linus? I also noticed that the things Chloe loves most, are the things I got her used to when she first came home with me. I used to wrap her in these just like a baby and rock her to sleep each night. Her blankets & spongy cat balls where both part of her new life each day when she first came here.. She also hates change, any change big or small, rountine or where I push her playpen when I mop the floor, she likes it right back where it was and paces until it is. I'm not sure are other Yorkie's are like that? I also have to spray her blankets with Farnum's Holiday, every time I wash them to make her happy!

I would call it love o.k. maybe a tad spoiled lol..
Tasha and Jersey both don't mind change. The only thing that gets jersey all worked up is when Jessica my daughter leaves. She mopes almost the entire time she's gone.
I got the idea for the fleece blanket from my step-mom. She had made me one for my bedroom. I figured if she could make one then I could. So I gave it a shot. My first one fell apart..I didn't think to double knot it lol..but all that i have made after that stayed together.
I am putting together a care package for my pups and the blankets will be one thing that is in it. Since my pups will be here til they are 12 weeks I will start letting them sleep on them when they are weaned from mom. So they will have scents of home on them.

I didn't realize until now, you're a breeder? I had a terrible one where I got Chloe from. When I get ready, I'll see if you have any. I was thinking in about a year, maybe Chloe should have company, but I am afraid she will not want to play with me anymore I have to think this one out good, but she truly loves being around other dogs........

Just let me know. I'ts hard not to get another yorkie when you have one isn't it..lol..I"m just starting out. I started planning to breed over two years ago. I am just now having my first litter. I wanted to wait til tasha was at least 2 before I bred her and I wanted to make sure I knew everything before I started. I"ve put over two years of research into this and now it's finally happening. I'm exited and very proud.
I'm keeping back a puppy from jersey..given she has a girl that is what I want and big enough. I won't breed a girl unless she is at least five pounds..preferably bigger.
I'll have to say this will be the hard part though parting with them ..oh if i could only keep them all lol..

Ok so right now you only have one? Then you will keep one. I want to be sure I udnerstand right. So if this is correct, you have no idea how she will act with a permanent live in around either? I originally wanted Chloe to be a Mommy too. But I changed my mind (I think) cause I am so afraid something will happen to her. I don't think I could help deliver either if she needed help (out of fear) I would be able to help another human, just not my Chloe But your right, once you have one, you want another, then probably another and another!

Hi Everyone!
Sorry I haven't written, things have been really busy. We got our new baby two weeks ago, and he is doing great!! It is purely amazing how much he has grown in such a short time! This little guy has a huge personality and adjusted to his new home and family so quickly. He loved all the attention he recieved. My other three dogs were totally pouty the first week. Lucy, our female dog, wouldn't even look at him for the first two days. But by the end of the first week, she had begun to play with him, very gently. Now they are the best of friends, and she has taken him under her care; she is teaching him all the things he would have learned from his mother and siblings if given the time. She has taught him how to play, and to share toys. He ran too fast and bumped into the table; when he whined, she immediately came to check on him and licked him. I'm very proud of her, and Bam-Bam absolutely adores her. My oldest poodle, Dodie, gave up his bed so the baby could have it. They now share their dry food. The only hold-out is my poodle/maltese, Teddy, but he's coming around. He's not mean to the baby, just half growls and moves away for show. But when we're all on the couch and the baby falls asleep, Teddy hops up beside him and falls asleep. Bam-Bam eats very well, wet food plus dry puppy food. He was very quick to answer to his name and minds much better than I had expected for one so young. We all love him dearly and are so glad he's part of our family. He is obviously very happy and secure with us. I still haven't been able to get pictures but hope to have some really soon. And by the way, we bought him five new toys all his own but guess what his very favorite thing is?? My favorite pair of house slippers...of course!!!

Great, I am so happy for you and everyone. Everything sounds like it worked out great... How old was he when you finally brought him home? I remember how well Chloe adjusted when I brought her home. She never even cried and I took it like a sign telling me she was not insecure and well adjusted. She remains the same independent little girl to this day. Good Luck

Hi Pattie!
Thanks for the good wishes. BamBam was not quite 8 weeks old when he came home with us. I didn't want him to leave his mom and broter so young but the breeder was determined. Thank goodness, it has gone so well, and especially that our sweet Lucy has "adopted" him. And they do show independence, don't they? lol I like that about him....although sometimes I would like to cuddle him when he wants to do nothing but romp and play! That's okay though, he's having a great time, and learning valuable skills. I do have a new question though. The baby is now about 11 weeks old. His ears are still floppy. I have begun trying to massage them (while he is just as determined to chew on my fingers). When should I trim the hair on his ears? When should I be concerned about possibly taping them? I don't think there is any way I can get this little man to hold still long enough to trim, even with someone helping me. Maybe it would be best if I have a professional do this? I want to do everything right to help insure his ears will stand up as they should, though I would love him just as much if they didn't. I tried to read up some on the subject but still don't understand much about the time frame involved. Could you advise me, please? I'd be really grateful.

Thanks!
IBluFeather

Another thing to add to your yorkie package...I don't think was mentioned.. is a list of poisonous plants, foods, ect.. for puppy to avoid along with some safety guidlines such as keeping puppy away from electrical cords, ect.

She had a sweet little Yorkie and was just breeding her one time for the experience. I would of loved to receive a package of such... I'm sure your new parents will love this. Thanks Denise
