My neighbor KICKED my Bogey! I know that I am going to ramble and sound totally nutty so please forgive me ahead of time BUT I am so beyond pi$$ed off right now I don't even know what to say or do! OMG! It was a nice night and our neighbor stopped by to visit with my husband. All four of the pupster were in the yard and of course they also wanted to say hi and ran up to him and out of the corner of my eye I say my neighbor toss Bogey with his heel backwards. Bogey flew back about 4 FEET and landed on his back under out patio table! I was down the deck and at the patio so fast and in his face I must have had flames shooting out of my feet  I really thought I was going to hit him! Let me remind everyone that all of my pups are rescues and Bogey was found last September abandoned on the side of the road in a huge storm that flooded IN after the TX hurricane. He is the most gently loving little guy that you could ever image. When I had Teagan here for that one week Bogey was the one that laid on the bed with him and loved him and cared for him. My little Bogey is the most kind sole that you could ever imagine. I cannot even imagine anyone ever wanting to hurt him. So as I am confronting him and he is DENYING what I just saw him do to Bogey, he says to me "Well if they didn't bark all the time and wake up my kids at night".......then I really lost it! This is the part of the story that will blow your mind......for the better part two years I have listened to these same neighbor and his wife fight...... no I would say more like scream, yell, swear, punch walls, cry, at all hours of the day and night! They have 2 babies and another on the way and my husband kept telling me they were sleep deprived and the kids won't sleep so they are fighting. They were fighting in their driveway, which is next to out bedroom windows 3 nights ago because one of the babies wouldn't sleep at 2 AM! She is an OR nurse and leaves at 5 am for work and I would have to say the 2 out of the 5 days she is screaming at him as she is leaving. So he is now trying to JUSTIFY hurting my dog because they bark! I cannot even begin to say what I had to tell him about how I felt about him, his crazy wife, the way they behave, how they should seek professional psychiatric help and how he needed to leave my property and NEVER return! I am so hurt by what happened tonight that I just cannot even express my feelings. I have been sitting here holding Bogey and crying to know that we have associated ourselves with someone that would be cruel to a defenseless little 8 lb dog! I swear to you I could have really hurt him if my husband had not pulled be back! I'm done...thank you for listening!:( |
OMG girl I would be so LIVID!! I probably would have kicked him back :p But Im glad you stood up for Bogey and let that awful man know what he did was wrong and uncalled for!! |
wow. I am proud of you for protecting your baby. What an ass! I would have gave him a swift kick! |
OMG What nerve!!! Good for you for defending your baby!!! If he's willing to hurt your dog, he's going to lose it on one of those children or the wife. I'm shocked you haven't called the police on them for all the domestics going on over there. PLEASE, be concerned for their children. An angry people watching a crying baby is how most shaken baby cases happen. I can tell you it happens as fast as a car wreck and the baby's life is changed forever, if not ended. Please, keep a watchful eye on them. ((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) to you and your baby. |
yes it seems there are alot of ignorant people as to someone elses pet.... We had a similar event many years ago this fellow visits and Oliver is excited and he goes to kick Oliver away from him but i swooped him away before he hit him ....now when people come over the first thing i do is pick up Our Oliver and he sits on my lap unless i know fOr sure he can not get hurt by them...bunch of DummBozzZ ... :animal-pa I swear the dogs are smarter than some people :D |

I am so sorry that happened to that baby. We had a neighbor kid about 14yrs.old throw a brick and hit Mandy in the side. She was our little schnauzer so she was alittle bigger than Tina(toy schnauzer) and Kayla(yorkie). She was swollen on her side and bleeding inside. She was barking at this moron because all their lives they had been teased and tormented by kids. We put up a wooden fence along the chain link so they could not see in anymore but I still had a hurt dog and vet bill. I know how you feel. That would have made me insane. They would not be welcomed at my house anymore and I would sure watch out for those poor kids. Its a shame they will have to be raised in a home like that with fussing, fighting and loud screaming. My heart goes out to any kids raised like that. I hope it doesn't have a lasting impression on your baby but I know it made Mandy where she would not take up with anyone and she hated kids which I really hated that had to be like that. Its not fair because the dogs are sometimes to blame when its not their fault. |

OMG! I would have killed him! |
OH HEELLL NO! Good for you for protecting your baby! Don't feel bad. I'm not a violent person but my husband would have been holding me back too. NOBODY messes with the kids (skin OR fur) period. |
OMG. I am PO'd just reading this!!! I would have gone crazy! That a**hole! I can't believe that... your poor baby... give him a big hug and kiss for me. Wow... some people amaze me. That guy better not set foot near you and your babies again. I probably would have called the cops on him or something... that prick! |
He must feel like a BIG man kicking such a small dog. What a loser!! I dare someone to kick one of my dogs, it might be the last thing they ever do. |
Yeah, I think that guy needs to be kicked for sure... |
You did the right thing. NO WAY am i gonna let anybody get away with something like that. If theres anything i would fight over, its my dogs and my grandkids. |

OMG!!!!!!! I am seeing red right now!!!!! Someone should do the same thing, if not worse, to that sorry excuse for a man. Must have made him feel like a "real big man"! What a total loser!!!! I have another name for him but I think I should hold my tongue. I could go on and on!!!! I am so sorry this happened to your little guy. |
I would be mad at your next-door neighbor too. He had no right to kick your dog. If my neighbor did this to my dog, then he would not be coming back to my house either. I am sorry your neighbor kicked your dog. |
The first thing I thought of when I read this is becareful ...If he i like this becareful he don't throw ome food with poison or something like that to get back at you there are some weird people out there Take care I know I would done the same thing if someone hit my dog BarbiesBabyJada:mad: |
What a jerk. It sounds like he needs professional help. I would make sure he never comes around the puppies again. Bogey sounds like the sweetest little guy. |
:mad::mad: What a JERK!!! I am so sorry this happened to your baby. The audacity of some people amazes me. If he will kick an 8 pound dog, I shudder to think of the harm he could potentially inflict on a person! |
i hope bogey didnt get hurt much..and im sure he knows you love him so much.. |
What a jerk , I know 100% for sure I would have kicked him probally a couple of times and asked him if he like it and asked if it felt good !! ( irish temper) , no wonder why he cant take care of his children... if your mean to an animal then your mean to children.. Eww I hope they move!!! |
Thanks everyone! I have to say that now that it's a new day and I have time had time to calm down I am feeling much better. At this point I can tell you that I will not personally have any type of friendship whatsoever with this man. This blow up has been a long time coming and to tell you the truth what happened with Bogey was the catalyst of what happened yesterday. I have been fed up for a pretty long time about what has been happening but my husband would always calm me down, tell me that they are young and I should remember what it was like to have small kids and be sleep deprived, working, under pressure blah, blah blah. This jerk has been making rude little comments and I have held my tongue for far too long but now I am finished! He has called me a "dog hoarder" and makes fun of my rescue efforts which infuriates me to no end. When my kids would have friends over for a bondfire he would immediately threaten to call the police because they would disrupt their sleep to the point that I finally told the kids no more fires and they stopped inviting thier friends over. I just didn't want to argue of fight with the neighbors. But I am so done now and my husband knows it too! I haven't been married for 23 yrs for nothing ;) To tell you the truth, I have a feeling this is not the first time he had done this to him either. It wasn't a "kick" but what he did was even worse......Bogey was behind him and he lifted him left and caught Bogey by the chest with the back of his foot/leg and then lifted him into the air and forcing him to fly backward and land on his back....full out about 3 or 4 feet behind him. When he did it he turned to look and watched him fly backward! Believe me my husband will NOT be able to stop me from calling the police the next time they are acting like crazed maniacs fighting. He feels bad and will go over and try to calm things down during the day, talk to this jerk and give fatherly advice about having small kids and how hard it can be. But not me anymore 911 all the way! Done...stick a fork in me....done! :D |
OMG...i can understand why you were mad..I would have been too. I turn into 'monster mum' if anyone is horrible to my kids or pets! Hope Bogey is ok. I am secretly hoping you can find a good way to get your own back in the future!! |
Even when yorkies aren't rescue's they have such gentle and trusting little spirits. It doesn't take much to break that and if it gets broken it would be hard to rebuild the trust and the gentleness. If a man can come into YOUR yard or home and treat YOUR animals like this (especially since the dog was only trying to say hi and not bite him) it makes you wonder how he must really be behind closed doors with his wife and children. I'd say his household is spinning out of controll and hopefully it won't end very tragically. There has been so much crazy stuff on the news about domestic violence going very bad lately I would keep a pretty good eye on this and it probably wouldn't hurt to put a word into your local police department cluing them in on the constant screaming and fighting over there. I'm glad your baby is ok and I'm sure he never wants to see your neighbor again. Good for you for speaking up and protecting him!! |
:mad::mad:Nothing in the world makes me any madder than a person that hurts defenseless children or animals. I can't believe this idiot did this on your own property. I tell any new friend if you don't like dogs don't come to my house. I lost it at Lowe's because a woman told me I wasn't allowed to have dogs in the store. It is not posted and there is no food issues. It wasn't so much what she said as her attitude. I don't like or trust people who don't like dogs and especially my dogs. I was almost attacked by a wolf hybrid in PetSmart but I didn't blame the dog I blamed his owner. He said "You must have dog smell on you." No duh! Anyway next fight they have call the cops get a report started on them In Alabama if there is a domestic they both have to go to anger management. |
You can keep the peace if you want. Just tell me where you live. I DON'T have to keep anything with that man accept the feeling I get when I left my foot to hit him you know where. Guaranteed he won't have anymore kids! Carol and Jemma |
If asked about how he and his wife fight he'd probably deny or downplay that too, but holes in the walls don't lie. |
