Jodi,
I am so sorry to hear about Bogey! I look up to you so much for being so calm and collect (more than I would have been) You are one awesome lady!

FlDebra 05-03-2009 02:48 PM

I agree with all of the outrage over this idiot's actions. But I think you really should report it. You could say you don't necesarily want any action at this time, just a report on file, in case you have future incidents. The police will take it much more serious if it is a repeat offense. The ASPCA is another resource to report to. You need to get this on paper. This guy sounds like the type that is not going to have an isolated incident. I am betting he will be a repeat offender; if not your pets, someone else's.

RIPMyLittleCase 05-06-2009 06:59 AM

OMG I am a bit behind here but that is totally ridiculous. When my babies are outside, they are almost always barking. None of my neighbors better try to hurt any of them or there will be big trouble. Of course, only one of my neighbors doesn't have any pets. The rest all have dogs and all the dogs like to bark at each other or run along the fence with each other. The neighbor without dogs has young kids who love to call Teddy and Peanut to come outside and run with them knowing they will bark. Hearing what your neighbor did, I am glad that Peanut will try to nip at someone that he does not know if they come into the house or the yard. Not that I would let him do that but I know he will protect his brother and sister and us! Send your neighbor over here and I will put him in the yard with Peanut. :biggrin8:

In the meantime I will go get my voodoo doll and join in the hexing!

Give Bogey hugs and kisses from all of us.

I'm cooking steaks on the grill Saturday evening! Feel like stopping by? :sidesplt:

So now my update................

This all happened on Saturday evening and it has been very quiet since then .....noticably quiet. My husband came home from work yesterday and my son and I were standing in the kitchen and he says in passing "Wow! it's bee like UTOPIA next door." My son not missing a beat says "Well dad it's only Tuesday"..................:sidesplt:

Wylie's Mom 05-06-2009 12:45 PM

OMG - I am SO MAD! How on earth could do that to that little baby!! My blood is boiling right now. I would be FUMING.

You tell that little darling angel Bogey that he should just let that go - gone - poof! It is not his to carry.

Carol and Jemma

Oh! I am so there with you Carol!

I am sitting here with my mouth open and my head spinning. There simply are not words enough to describe what I would do to this man and I would fear for the jerks life if my dh saw him do that not just to our little ones but any little one.

Patti 05-06-2009 01:44 PM

How can anyone do that to a poor little defenseless baby.

MommyLovesRiley 05-06-2009 01:47 PM

Omg! If someone did that to my Riley, my husband would not even be able to stop me. People like that infuriate me. I'm so sorry about poor Bogey. I really hope he is okay. Don't worry though, karma will get him one day.

ferraritiffie 05-06-2009 01:54 PM

What a jerk! I can't believe he expects an apology from you!?! Maybe one day he will look at himself in the mirror and see what a monster he is. I'm glad bogey is feeling better. I can't imagine what I would do if someone tossed Genghis, pretty sure I'd need that cake with the file too.

Kids hear and understand so much more than we give them credit for don't they? As far as the neighbor kicking your little doggie I think you should be able to kick HIS little doggie (if ya know what I mean).

megansmomma 05-06-2009 02:06 PM

So Kathy and I have been talking about about having a Chicago yorkie meet up................wouldn't it be fun to have that RIGHT IN MY BACKYARD! :D He thinks that 4 dogs barking (you know how horrible Truman is ;)) is bad could you just imagine if I have say 20 or 30 Yorkies running around in my backyard on a nice warm Saturday afternoon! Then his claim of me being a dog hoarder could begin to come true ;)

pookiebear 05-06-2009 02:08 PM

Gosh, I'm sooo sorry that happened. That idiot will get what is coming to him, what goes around comes around. I just hope that your little one isn't acting skiddish now. Something like that could be traumatic enough to change his personality, I certainly hope not. Bless his heart.

I know that I am going to ramble and sound totally nutty so please forgive me ahead of time BUT I am so beyond pi$ off right now I don't even know what to say or do! OMG! It was a nice night and our neighbor stopped by to visit with my husband. All four of the pupster were in the yard and of course they also wanted to say hi and ran up to him and out of the corner of my eye I say my neighbor toss Bogey with his heel backwards. Bogey flew back about 4 FEET and landed on his back under out patio table! I was down the deck and at the patio so fast and in his face I must have had flames shooting out of my feet  I really thought I was going to hit him!

Let me remind everyone that all of my pups are rescues and Bogey was found last September abandoned on the side of the road in a huge storm that flooded IN after the TX hurricane. He is the most gently loving little guy that you could ever image. When I had Teagan here for that one week Bogey was the one that laid on the bed with him and loved him and cared for him. My little Bogey is the most kind sole that you could ever imagine. I cannot even imagine anyone ever wanting to hurt him.

So as I am confronting him and he is DENYING what I just saw him do to Bogey, he says to me "Well if they didn't bark all the time and wake up my kids at night".......then I really lost it! This is the part of the story that will blow your mind......for the better part two years I have listened to these same neighbor and his wife fight...... no I would say more like scream, yell, swear, punch walls, cry, at all hours of the day and night! They have 2 babies and another on the way and my husband kept telling me they were sleep deprived and the kids won't sleep so they are fighting. They were fighting in their driveway, which is next to out bedroom windows 3 nights ago because one of the babies wouldn't sleep at 2 AM! She is an OR nurse and leaves at 5 am for work and I would have to say the 2 out of the 5 days she is screaming at him as she is leaving.

So he is now trying to JUSTIFY hurting my dog because they bark! I cannot even begin to say what I had to tell him about how I felt about him, his crazy wife, the way they behave, how they should seek professional psychiatric help and how he needed to leave my property and NEVER return!

I am so hurt by what happened tonight that I just cannot even express my feelings. I have been sitting here holding Bogey and crying to know that we have associated ourselves with someone that would be cruel to a defenseless little 8 lb dog! I swear to you I could have really hurt him if my husband had not pulled be back!

I'm done...thank you for listening!:(

I haven't read all of the replies to your post yet, but I hope your baby is ok.
That moron was in your yard, on your property, and kicked your dog! 911!!!!!!!! Yes, I would have called the police and pressed charges...the next time he would have seen me would be in court!!!

Oh please please please do! And please please please invite me and my two furballs! We could make it a yorkiehavenrescue fund raiser and everyon could chip in a few bucks to participate. Then tell the butthole neighbor that we've moved the rescue to your backyard! Think of all of us in a group standing there glaring it him! Oh! I'm about to wet myself!

I was only half joking about having it here! Wouldn't that be the BEST thing! We could take the video recorder out to capture the entire thing or better yet we would set up one of this live feeds and everyone could watch hahahahahahahahahaha! Of course you are invited to the meet up no matter where we decided to have it! Not only that but I am sure if we had a meet up here that even Indiana people would join the fun! :D

****But we will have to plan quickly because my husband said due to MY OFFENSIVE mouth and behavior he is MOVING

RIPMyLittleCase 05-07-2009 06:20 AM

I'm coming too! I will bring all 3 of mine including my barker, Peanut! Well, not Peanut cuz he might have to bite your neighbor!!! :D

dogbert 05-07-2009 06:56 AM

Soooo, your husband is moving. You'll miss him won't you. LOL

ElaineE 05-07-2009 07:08 AM

I am so sorry! I cried for you, and how you feel. It's not healthy to keep those feeling inside. You should go for a jog or something to get it out. I can totally relate to your story as I'm really unhappy with my neighbors right now too. I'm sure Bogey will be fine, but I think that you need to find some way to release your bad energy. Maybe going to the gym and using a punching bag for awhile.
I'm so so sorry!!!
But at the same time, everybody on here will always listen, and never judge you, isn't it nice!

OMG, I am so sorry:(. I have no idea what I would do if anyone does same to my babies:mad:. Actually, recently I had not very pleasant people on my property too. They came to our house to buy a car. Jessica came to say hi, as usually. One of them looked sooo angry, and when she came to him, he made a few steps back looking at her as she is a swine flu:eek::confused:. Jess didn't understand :D - everyone like her !!!:D She came back:D. A few times :D She just wanted to say hi, that's all!!! Finally, I picked her up. That guy (btw, from Irak, they don't like dogs) could kick Jessica if I was not there, I am absolutely sure. If you saw his face and his moving from Jess as she is some sort of virus, you would agree with me.

Oh yeah that came out totally wrong............the neighbor and his screaming wife are moving.:p The husband can stay for now. :D

Lou 05-07-2009 09:05 AM

You'd better keep that husband of yours! I think he is special.
I am going to bring my gentle giant too! He will protect all the little ones from the big bad neighbor! (Just kidding) I hope your neighbor is renting so he CAN move!

luvinmyyorkies 05-07-2009 07:02 PM

Jodi! I'm just seeing this now! I can't believe that happend! You have more self control than I do I guess! Remember I have 3 barkers of my own too! We should invite him to the meetup and let all the pups have a go at him!!!!

Mom2One 05-07-2009 07:37 PM

I agree that your neighbor is a horrible man, just be careful that he doesn't retaliate for you telling him off. I would watch my back and my dogs very carefully if I had a neighbor that would harm my babydog !! He's probably a bully as well as a coward, but stay safe.

PuppyLovinNurse 05-07-2009 08:01 PM

I'm POed just reading this!! Give me his address...I'll be there ASAP and we'll go to jail together.

If ANYONE every touched my baby I wouldn't be shocked if I literally killed them. If my husband wouldn't be busy kicking the poop out of them with me, he'd have to be holding me back that's for sure!

I don't care who it is...a friend, family member, Santa Clause...I don't give a rat's hiney.

Did you call the police? It's abuse of your "property" and animal cruelty. Press charges! I know I would and please report the domestic abuse going on over there while you're at it.

Good for you for sticking up for your baby!

Good for you!!!!!

Actually, you probably handled the situation better than the way I would have. I can't believe someone would do this, especially on YOUR property! People need to realize that some dog owners look at their dogs as their kids. I'm sure he wouldn't like it if you went over to his house and hurt his kids. That would be absolutely wrong!! He needs to learn to respect other people and other people's FAMILY!
