omg! i am so sorry that bogey got kicked... i can't imagine how upsetting it was for you to witness that. i am wondering in a case like that, what can you do within the legal limit? are you allowed to kick him and throw him back a few feet and have him land under the table or what? (seriously, what can you do if someone kicked your dog) sue them? gosh, he is such an idiot, and an a$$hole. i am so sorry this happened, i hope bogey is doing ok now. (and i hope you are feeling better as well)

this post made me cry. i do not own a rescue yorkie, but i believe every word you said about how they look at you. (it's heartbreaking)

and your post also reminded me of an article that i read a year ago. it was about a couple who drove their dog to a place to dump him. they just dropped off the dog there and disappeared. the people who live there say that the dog goes back to the place he was dropped off every single day, waiting for his owners. some people try to take the dog in, but the dog just wanted to wait for his mom and dad. it's so sad, i can't believe how cruel people can be.

Good grief Jodi! I am just reading this. I agree with the others about this guy, He is trouble with a capital T. He is now a time-bomb just waiting to go off. Please be careful of this guy. No wonder the kids don't sleep with all that fighting. Even if they don't hit their kids now, they will eventually, the kids sense all the hostility in the house. They are victims now even if they have not been hit. I know you will watch over your dogs even more closely now, I am so sorry for you to have to go thru this with this ass. You did the right thing by not becoming violent yourself, this keeps you as the victim if this ever escalates to envolve the police. Take care. Let's all think a hex on this moron.

Just reading some posts got me consider..that the way to "fix him" is to get his kids...that's too harsh and unnecessary.
He most definitely owes you the apology, its not your fault he cant get his kids to sleep at night...and i know if your babies were barking all night long you wouldn't be able to sleep either. Your sweet husband is trying to keep the peace in the neighborhood.
But i would try to talk to him and let him know that he could of seriously injured Bogey, and just like he loves his children, you love your furbabies and would be heartbroken if something happened to them. If he has any kind of decency to him, he will understand and apologize to you.
But i don't think some anger management classes, couples counseling, and parenting classes would hurt.
Well, those were the exact things that I was screaming at him after he said that about my dogs barking and waking his kids. Let me think it was something like "You and your wife have serious psycological issues with all of the fight and carrying on that you both do. You have this entire neighborhood up in arm and read to call DCFS on you and your crazy behavior. I think that before you try to accuse my little 8 lb dogs of being too loud and waking your children that sleep on the other side of the house you need to turn that finger around at yourself. Do a little analyzation of what is wrong in YOUR life and get serious professional psychiatric help for both you and your wife!" At that point is when my husband dragged me away from him because I was just about ready to pounce onto his back!

Also I think I would have a fence in yard I would be so afraid when Bogey might see him he might still go to him..

I was just wondering if they let the kids sleep all day then when they need to go to bed they can't sleep ...or there so intense from them agruing so much ...

Also I was thinking my grandson has to take a sleeping pill everynight just so his mind would let him sleep Doctor had to subscribe it for him and my granddaughter also they have adhd the don't stop except with meds it helps

I agree with getting a fence, and I would definetly let the ASPCA what he did, and see if they can help you.

People like this man do not take responsibilty for their own behaviors. Instead they will blame everyone else for what they have done themselves. From what you have described , his behavior is much like that of a socio path> BE CAREFUL. This Type of person will never admit to anything wrong, cause he has no conscience. Keep your Yorkies far, far away from him, and if you have children, please, keep them out of harms way. Their are red flags all over the place.
As for the wife, will she probably is just going to support her man 100% all the way. Nothing you can do about that. She wants to be abused like that, and keep have babies with a crazy Mother****er, that her buisness. I'd really try to stay out of that crap. And protect your family and pets from that mean ass crazy man next door .
How is your Boegy? I was scared of internal injuries. Nobody has the right to be violent towards your one of your yorkies ever! There is never any justification for this! I hope Boegy is ok.

It was a nice night and our neighbor stopped by to visit with my husband. All four of the pupster were in the yard and of course they also wanted to say hi and ran up to him and out of the corner of my eye I say my neighbor toss Bogey with his heel backwards. Bogey flew back about 4 FEET and landed on his back under out patio table! I was down the deck and at the patio so fast and in his face I must have had flames shooting out of my feet I really thought I was going to hit him!

Let me remind everyone that all of my pups are rescues and Bogey was found last September abandoned on the side of the road in a huge storm that flooded IN after the TX hurricane. He is the most gently loving little guy that you could ever image. When I had Teagan here for that one week Bogey was the one that laid on the bed with him and loved him and cared for him. My little Bogey is the most kind sole that you could ever imagine. I cannot even imagine anyone ever wanting to hurt him.

So as I am confronting him and he is DENYING what I just saw him do to Bogey, he says to me "Well if they didn't bark all the time and wake up my kids at night".......then I really lost it! This is the part of the story that will blow your mind......for the better part two years I have listened to these same neighbor and his wife fight...... no I would say more like scream, yell, swear, punch walls, cry, at all hours of the day and night! They have 2 babies and another on the way and my husband kept telling me they were sleep deprived and the kids won't sleep so they are fighting. They were fighting in their driveway, which is next to out bedroom windows 3 nights ago because one of the babies wouldn't sleep at 2 AM! She is an OR nurse and leaves at 5 am for work and I would have to say the 2 out of the 5 days she is screaming at him as she is leaving.

So he is now trying to JUSTIFY hurting my dog because they bark! I cannot even begin to say what I had to tell him about how I felt about him, his crazy wife, the way they behave, how they should seek professional psychiatric help and how he needed to leave my property and NEVER return!

I am so hurt by what happened tonight that I just cannot even express my feelings. I have been sitting here holding Bogey and crying to know that we have associated ourselves with someone that would be cruel to a defenseless little 8 lb dog! I swear to you I could have really hurt him if my husband had not pulled be back!

I'm done...thank you for listening!
Jodi,

Your husband is far calmer than mine, because mine wouldn't have heled me back, as a matter of fact, he would have joined me!

How dare that a** kick Bogey!!!!!!!!!!

And then to try to JUSTIFY kicking a little 8# dog???????

I am so sorry this happened. I hope it hasn't set Bogey back with all the love he has learned that he deserves from people.

I love my 4 foot chain link fence, as a rule I hate the 6 foot block and especially the wood fences. But I'd have a 6 foot privacy fence installed ASAP. To protect your little ones and not have to look at him!

Reading this gets me so mad!!!!!!!!! He has no reason to kick your poor baby! I would have kicked him where it hurts! Tell him never to come bak to your house and that he is not welcomed. You should have told him if I hear you fight with your wife one more time I will call the cops lol. Poor baby flew 4 feet when all he wanted to do is greet him. How hurt you must have been knowing he was abandoned on the road. Hurts my heart to know. If anyone hurt my baby I would get furious. We all feel for you

I am so glad to read this, as this is what would have happened at our house. We try to keep peace and get along with neighbors and so far it's worked. Words are words/sticks and stones. BUT hubby will no longer be "nice guy" if anyone touches his wife and/or kids. Now that we have our little rescue Yorkie that has daddy wrapped around her tiny little paw nobody better ever touch her either. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

I think you missed the part about they have 2 babies. They are 2 yrs and 8 months plus a third due in Aug! The do not sleep all day they both work full time jobs. She is a OR nurse and he's a mechanic so they are not sleeping in and letting the kids sleep. She is leaving at 5 am and he is following behind her at about 6:30 off to daycare for the day. These kids are not sleeping at night because they are just babies and that is what babies do~give their parents a hard time when it is bedtime. At 8 months old my kids still would get up at night.

I understand about ADHD, my 2 oldest boys who are 20 and 22 yrs old both had this growing up as well. It can be hard to deal with but I have to say that they are both college students and hold jobs so it is totally possible to work through.

We have a fence and always have. Bogey was in our yard and the neighbor stopped over to visit with my husband. I do not think that I will be calling the ASPCA because of what happened but believe me the next time all he!! breaks loose next door 911 here I come!

Bogey is doing fine today. I was more worried about his back and neck because of how he kicked him. It was not a kick, Bogey was behind him as he was walking into the garage. He bent his knee, caught Bogey between the front legs and his chest with the heel of his shoe then tossed him backward threw the air and he landed on his back. FOUR paws straight in the air about 3 or 4 feet away under my patio set!

As for the wife she is doing the yelling at the kids. He's actually pretty calm with the kids but when she yells at him he yells back at her. The fighting and yelling that goes on in the house is either her screaming at the kids or the two of them fighting with each other about the kids.

I've been thinking about this all day and now wonder if maybe it might be the medicine that she is taking because she is pregnant. The oldest is 2 and was born at 23 weeks because she has a clotting disorder. She has pretty much been pregnant since then and taking this drug and is always complaining it doesn't make her feel good. Some medicine have horrible side effects and I'm wondering if that might be the case with her wild mood swings and crazy behavior? Which of course has NOTHING to do with what he did to my Bogey!

I am not really worried about my kids and the neighbor. My oldest is 22 yrs old 6' 5" 300 lb former HS football player/wrestler. My other son is 20 yrs old and competes in Jujutzu tournements. I'm pretty sure they can take care of themselves. As a matter of fact, the 22 yr old was in bed with the stomach flu and when he heard me crying his response was "I'll take care of him Mom once I stop being so sick" My 14 yr old daughter is just like her momma Man I wish he would have tried that on Pebbles because she is like momma too. She would still be hanging be his calf and mad as he!!
