Ahhhh ... now I understand! At first I was thinking .... well of course, they should be able to ask more for their show quality than their pet quality. Once you used the example from the site I understand your concern! Does not make sense to me either. If he is worth $1200 as a breeder, why would she sell him at $400 just because she checks a box giving limited registration? Makes a person think he is probably worth $400 and the "$1200 as breeder" is just a sales ploy to make the pet seeker think they are getting more than they really are. Of course, I can't imagine selling AKC Yorkies for only $400 unless major faults are seen. I guess some breeders are going for quantity sales though.

noooo absolutely not in barbara daniels case. the dog she is talking about is an older dog -she has quite a few new puppies she is keeping and wanted cooper to get to live in a HOME...you must read the whole paragraph around this blurp. im sorry but i dont see the value in undermining another breeder if you are not sure of your facts. again bj daniels breeder is awesome and she does not deal underhandedly at all. i and alot of other customers of hers will attest to this. if you wanted a pet who is older and had been bred before then a dog like cooper is what you would look into..take care

I am not trying to undermine anyone. I am simply attempting to educate people. I do not see a reason for a breeder to charge more money for "breeding rights." Breeding is a privlidge, and you shouldn't breed a dog just becuse you have full AKC registration on him, and certainly not just because you paid the extra $800 for full registration. That, to me, is ridiculous.


And, you are making it worse, he's bred before? He's only a "smidge over" a year old.

I am not trying to start a fight or step on anyone's toes. Her pups may be healthy and happy, etc etc. I have no clue, but, from taking a quick look at her website, I see a lot of things that make me think.

i just have had such bad luck with other dogs ive gotten and then i found and had a beautiful dog from barbs and another one coming soon, and i hate to have people have the wrong impression of her is all, yes please do put the name on the site. im not fighting, i understand the questions very well, i wish someone would have taken me aside in my other bad dealings0- but please as a satisfied owner, bj's is awesome thanks
