| albino yorkie??? I have had my 4th litter of yokies, this will be the 1st for this mom however. The parents are both AKC and DNA tested with champinship bloodlines. These parents are pet quality as per breed standard. They weight 8 and 81/2 pounds so they dont meet show quality (3 -7 lbs). (my personal preference anyway, less heath problems then found in the tinier ones). Back to my question, comment, concern, one of the 2 was born a light grey/sliver like no other yorkie pup i have ever seen. They just started to open their eyes yeasterday and sure enough it appears as a lighter blue. Time will tell me more. i can add pics as the thread goes on, however i am not sure how to do it. | Sounds like a blue born. You need to read up on here (YT) about them. I am so sorry. You need to post photos to be sure, but sure sounds like a blue born by your description. I have never seen one in real life, only photos myself. T. |

| how do i post pics? i am hopeing for a blue born also because i would be affraid of the medical issues that are associated with albinoism in any type of animal. I had not ever even heard of blur born till now either. mine and all i have ever seen were black and gold/tan (i say like little rauties). But this one has thrown me throught a loop. If she a "blue Then i believe i will keep her to breed as long as she checks out ok. I albino, the spade her and make the potential home aware of risks. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I'm interested in seeing pics too. Make sure they are sized no bigger than 600 x 600....beneath the reply box you'll see additional options with one marked manage attachments...click that and you can browse your computer for pics to upload.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I agree with this, blue born is not the same thing as "blue and gold". While some blue borns do survive, they seldom get much hair, and they develop thick skin, which can be painful. It's best to neuter the pair responsible for this.

| Your puppy's are adorable but from all I have read on blue born puppy's I would be afraid to breed for them. and would also hate to be an unsuspecting buyer if the dont live very long CharleneMama to Laddy |
