				   | I am by NO means an expert but I read somewhere on here that if they have a green eye when you take a picture with the flash they have silky hair and if they have the red eye with the flash then they have a cotton coat. There were a few members on here that supported that. I find it to be true, Fancy has green eyes when I use the flash on the camera and her coat is silky. Hopefully someone else can help you out more. By the way, WELCOME TO YT!!!!

				   | They have to be a few months old for the trick to work. Not sure of the exact age though. I read that here on YT.

				   | Wow that eye trick is so weird! I was just wondering what coat Bailey has so I did a search and found this thread. I thought it was weird that her eyes used to look blue in pictures and recently started looking green! I guess she's got a silky coat. Also, she's 16 weeks now so I think the eye thing changed around 14-15 weeks...

				   | at 10 weeks i think it is too early to tell but if the lighter (adult) hair growing in looks "greasy" i would lean towards a silky coat. I have yorkies that are silky and 1 that is cotton and the silky ones had thin, greasy looking hair when the adult hair on their heads started coming in. my cotton baby's hair was not like that when her adult hair grew in - it was always thicker and softer and more cottony in texture and i think all puppies eyes shine blue when they are really young so that is not usually a good indicator with a pup that young i could be wrong but thought i remember reading that somewhere

				   | Thanks for this thread I was wondering about Leo, the hair on his head is turning silver and always looks greasy. I thought I was feeding him wrong or using the wrong shampoo or combing him too much.
