				 | I feel the same way, we have one very calm yorkie (Samson) and he really doesn't get into much. Then we have Harley who is into everything. Just this week he has pulled out to the yard, shoes, yarn, bras, panties, tissues, hair clips, shirts, etc. I keep the floors picked up but he always finds the one thing the (adult) kids left on the floor. he can be exhausting and sometimes I wonder if I did the right thing by getting a 2nd dog......but I have come to love Harley and appreciate the positive things he brings to my life.

				 | At my house we are VERY carefully about keeping things out of reach, but last night I hear Jamie smacking on something while he's laying in his crate. Here I was thinking he was being a sweet boy by running in his crate to take a nap, and he's just trying to hide from me while he eats a Starburst candy that he found! BTW Jamie is 1 1/2.

				 | Deja Vu Oh man! I was going to start a new thread on this subject until I saw this one... Jeeper Creepers - Sully is scaring the crap out of me. Now that the nice weather is here we've been taking him outside more. We have this huge pine tree in our yard and the little brat ate a baby pinecone the other day. Last week he ate a bug. Yesterday he started chasing a bee and almost got stung..... Today he found a cigarette butt on the sidewalk and gulped it down. Now I'm wigging out. Does anyone have a bratty kid who eats cigarette butts and if so - can it harm them? |

				 | I taught both of mine the "drop it" command. I can throw things on the floor and they won't touch it. Good luck!!! I know it's frustrating, just keep reminding yourself tht he's just a baby

We had some friends over and everyone was sitting on the back porch. One of the guys sat his cigarettes down and went inside for a second - when he came back Lucky had them out in the yard! I ran over and got them from him but half of them were already gone. I didn't seem to hurt him at all but he was much bigger than a Yorkie... he was about 40 pounds.

				 | I know exactly what you mean. Tucker runs from us when he has something he's not supposed to have. I'm surprised he hasn't rubbed the skin off his nose. Want to hear something funny? My husband wears wax ear plugs at night. Yes, I confess. I snore. I have lots of allergies, and they're really bad right now. My careless husband drops the things on the floor. Tucker loves them, but I'm afraid he'll choke. Not as funny as my daughter's Golden Retreiver who ate my father's hearing aid few years ago. She swallowed the whole thing. They had to have her put down at age 8. I keep wondering if the battery in the hearing aid affected her. She had a very bad liver problem. She was such a sweetheart. |

OMG - he died from eating the cigarettes? Now I'm really freaking out - he only ate one - it was pretty much the filter only and he weighs 8.5 pounds. | |

				 | Ollie does the same thing. He vacuums my kitchen floor several times a day and every time he goes outside he chews sticks, bark, rocks...ugh! It is hilarious to watch him drag around twigs way bigger than he is though. He has no idea that he only weighs 4 pounds. |

				 | My Suzi is the same way... It seems like she goes for the grosser the better We are very careful too! Now clever little Suzi is a pick pocketer ! That's right! Everyone who sits down on the couch Suzi's nose is right is their pockets I have to watch her extremely closely when we are outside. I've taught her the words Drop it, and A stern NO! She is funny, inside , when she has something she is not suppose to have, she freezes, than as soon as i get close to get a hold of it, she bolts. Little booger, then she does it over and over ... She is quick too .Leaving pieces behind her, until I have picked up everything that she had. Usually it was a paper towel, or napkin. She is much more responsive to my brother's commands too. I guess I am too nice? I love her soooo much and I feel taken advantage of! LOL, oh well, my brother does not even live here, however is here every day to visit> I think he's the Alpha dog!
