Lost Yorkie..in the pound..for adoption?

I have three, but I would take that sweetie in in a heart beat to get him out of that cage. However, can't make it to AR. I admire you for all efforts.

The problem with chips is they are not UNIVERSAL. The shelter has to have the proper chip reader to read a the chip for the chip supplier. They are not foolproof way of having your dog returned to you.

Since the rescue that I volunteer for is based in TX, LA, NC and IL they have not had anything trickle their way. I would call the shelter for sure and let them know, possibly what chip reader they have and if it is comparable to what the local vet places. You just never know

If there was a way to get him to me in IL we could foster him here but AR might as well be the moon. It's not like me driving to IN to pick up Truman. I hate to see that little guy get adopted out to just anyone or worse PTS.

You are so right.......u never know. I sent an pm about this thread to Yoshi's Mommie & Reeses' Mommie. What a true BLESSING that would be if it is one of them! If not, I truely hope he finds his owner.

I've gotten nowhere with my calls to see if there are any other missing yorkies, I called the pound because I was going to offer to foster him( against my husbands wishes..but he'd get over it) and they told me he was adopted this morning. So I hope he went to a good home.

awww....you've done all that you could. Bless yr heart for trying to put this yorkie with his original owner. I am glad he now has a home too. I just can't imagine though if the original owners are looking for their yorkie & now he is adopted out. But then, who would want their babie roaming around or in a pound if lost. Thank you for posting. Those that have lost their yorkies here will read this thread & if there is any possible chance it could be theirs, they will look futher into it.

Oh I know. It's gotta be better than the pound. The thing that's weird about it is... If you were looking for your lost yorkie you would have alerted every animal shelter in the area... He was there for 5 days without a peep from anyone. I wondered if his family was out of town or something, but who would leave their yorkie alone? I have to remember that not everyone considers their dogs as their most precious little ones as I do( and most of you). There have







been a lot of people


leaving the area either to find work or lost their job....there have been lots of pets left behind. Not saying this was the case but it makes you wonder.
