| I am so sorry to hear your landlord will not allow a yorkie. I was hoping she would. I was in the same situation... My landlord does not allow pets, and I have been living in our apartment for 4 years. My husband actually already bought my dog before checking with our landlord (which I was not okay with...). When I told my landlord I just started bawling. He has a softspot for me so it worked out... I hope she'll reconsider... (BTW I just finished my immigration status... USCIS is such a mess...) |

| I am having an extremely bad day. I was so disappointed about my landlord's reponse.. then something I ordered, they made a mistake and sent it to my next door. Then my next door denies that they received it.. Just headche.. and tears! Not a good day. I hope tomorrow is the better day. |

| Michiko, I just read the response of your landlord. I really am sorry to learn that it was negative. I am concerned about your order being delivered to your neighbor. Have you been able to straighten that mess out? Was it delivered by postal or otherwise?

| Congrats on your immigration. It is really tough. I have only H1B. I work for non-profit agency help women and children who suffered from domestic violence. I am trying to find a lawyer for greencard... it is tough. Too much stress. (BTW I just finished my immigration status... USCIS is such a mess...)[/QUOTE] |

| I was very happy that I found this site as I fell in love with a yorkie. I came here many times a day and stopped by the chat. People on chat have been very nice. Now I feel so disappointed about the response and depressed, it is hard to even read other people's posts. I feel so jealous about everyone here for having yorkies I wish I would be like others who can say "I finally got a yorkie!" I am feeling really down. Maybe this is just faith for me that I don't deserve any family or even pet around me. How lonesome is that! |

| Spend the time learning about all of their idiosyncracies. They have many. Don't feel so down. Things have a way of working out when you least expect it, you know.

please dont feel this way. everyone deserves love. sometimes people have very low moments in their lives but there's always light at the end of the tunnell. my mother was a war baby. born in korea in the 50's when it wasnt ok to mix races( she's korean and black). she was left in the woods for the animals to eat and was picked up by an orphanage. she ended up being adopted by a wonderful lady my grandmother...because of my mother's background she never raised me. i was raised by my grandmother until she died when i was 11 from then on i've lived in more than 20 foster homes.....the point is there were days when i had nothing to live for. thought no body cared about me..though i was bad that my own mother couldnt love me...it was tough..but i survived and it mad me stonger and a better person..i know you will have a great life and thing will get better for you .....give it a little time an be patient...god loves all of us...cocoa

| We just bought our own home but prior to our move we rented. Our landlord said no when we wanted to get a Min Pin. He adamantly said "no dogs" so when I saw my Chi and fell in love with her I bought her and brought her home and THEN called the landlord. Gave him a sob story about how she was a gift. He complained but he also just tacked $25/month extra onto the rent. Two months later...our Boxer was followed up with another sob story phone call and another $25/month was added onto the rent. In June I brought Piper home but didn't give the usual phone call. By that time I knew we were hoping to buy a home so the landlord never knew and we never told. Sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands but when doing so you also have to be willing to take the consequences. Me, I'm pig-headed to a fault and No is not something I take lightly if I have my heart set on something. I could've ended us out on our rears but fortunatley it worked out. Sometimes I think landlords just don't understand. In due time you'll have your baby and it'll all be worth the wait.

| Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | michiko, sorry to see you so sad. You really seem to have done the best you could with your landlord. You wrote two excellent letters. If she doesn't change her mind, is there any chance you could break the lease? If you waited until she found someone new to rent it, maybe she'd let you out of the lease. If not, you will get your chance to own a Yorkie someday. You're still young and have the world ahead of you. Save your money in the next year, find a better place to live, and start looking for the perfect Yorkie. Good luck, and cheer up!
