Never. We have hawks and Chloe only weighs 2.5 pounds. Some of the rabbits here are bigger than she is.

Neither of them are left out alone... Daphne (pom) is only out when we are too as she is always on the leash, shes an escapee..haha. Trixie goes out with out a leash but its always me or my husband out there with her when they potty or just playing.

Well, I've only had my rescue Yorkie about a month, but I never thought much about hawks and stuff. I have a very secure back yard and I've just let him go out with my other two dogs (both about 20lb. dogs). Usually no longer than 15 minutes or so. The Yorkie is about 7 lbs. Can a hawk carry off a 7lb. dog? We have red-tailed hawks around here.

I’ve never left Bridget alone outside by herself. She’s always on a leash except at the dog park where it's fenced in and she can run to her little heart’s content!
