I have also seen somewhere about Antlerz (part of antlers) which do not splinter and dogs are suppose to love them. Just do a google search and you can find a few vendors that sell them.

No, natural bones are NOT rawhide...be careful with rawhide, they are meant to be chewed off and swallowed, thats why they vanish and these can easily get stuck in ANY dogs throat, esp Yorkies....

Yes, this is what I got and took the filling out but ended up throwing it away as it seemed to have flaking going on and I don't want anything Snickers can ingest. The one I got in previous post cannot be broken and nothing comes off of it...it's a solid bone.

Thank you for the website. I am glad I asked because I have passed on those that add rawhide to the end of natural bone and will continue to do so. I am going to search Petsmart online and see if they have before I head out.

The bone itself definitely should not sliver. Was it the bone, or the cooked on food that was slivering?
