I think there should probably be a caution but maybe not so strongly worded. Children, even young children, can learn how to behave around a fragile dog. They need constant supervision, but they would even without the dog around. I think there are obviously a lot of yorkies that love children. It is sad somtimes to read how strict the rescues are -- too many poor dogs being deprived of a family that is ready to give them love and care. But they probably have been forced to create the rules because someone else before has caused a problem.

| Tucker is 5 months old , and has always loved children. I was pleasantly surprised because my previous dog, malti tsu couldn't stand to be around them. He weighed 17lbs. Tucker weighs 3.7. |

| I don't have small children, but I have a 12month old grandson. My babies love him. They smother him with kisses. He doesn't like it much. I went to my husbands' family gathering. His 3 yr old niece wanted to pet Chloe...she was 11 weeks old. I told her to be gentle but when she pet Chloe, Chloe squealed. I stood up and spent the whole day runnung from her. Telling her she was asleep. I really think it's how you raise your kids. Her parents were saying they wanted to get her a yorkie. Luckily my husband spoke up and said he suggests they wait until she is older.
