And I do hope worcester won't learn the hard way, and lose any of them. It would be very hard to live with such a thing. |
Unfortunately I am not a breeder and have no advise to offer the OP. And considering she's been suspended anyway, I guess it doesnt matter. I just wanted to comment that after reading this entire thread, it was sad to see that a person came on YT for advise and barely got any  Most of the posts were being very judgemental rather than helpful and that's just crazy. I understand that this is a public forum and we all have the right to our opinions, but really...some of us dont understand the power of words. The harshness of our society, is the reason why we have so many problems to begin with :( Is it so hard to help one another, rather than hurt one another?? |

I think maybe the OP got suspended for perhaps sending nasty PMs or something all her posts are still here and none are deleted. |

Let me ask you when the last time you held a sick little puppy that will never walk again? His limp body in your hands because the breeder not only allowed a breeding with AAI but then the puppy was stepped on and had a compression to his spine. But then didn't want to pay for the surgery that was immediately needed to allow this baby to walk again? Have you driven 7 hours in a rain storm to pick up sick and dying dog out of a kill shelter, nursed him back to health and watched him blossom into a wonderful healthy pup? What about having a little one that has not one but 2 dislocated hips and was a stud? $4000 later he can walk on one of his to back legs but will need physical therapy. Have you ever donated a dime or a minute of your time to a shelter or rescue? Have you ever been to a puppy mill or a shelter? Have you ever seen when the truck pulls up to the vets office and puts the bodies of the dead dogs into the pickup truck to be taken away? I am sorry if you think my words are harsh. You need to become informed about what is really going on here. The OPer allowed her Yorkie to breed TWO TIMES and the second almost killed her! She has LP that will be passed on to the second litter of puppies, the mother is so sick that she cannot take care of her babies and it was all an accident? I understand that she was here looking for help but what drew her here in the first place was a total lack of responsible behavior on her or her ex husband's part. I am totally dumbfounded why I am the bad guy here! Just because I said what so many other are thinking? The more she elaborated on her story the worse the story became. Do you not understand that what has happened is that now there are 4 more dogs in this world that will most likely end up in the system, needing medical care that will not be provided? Please do not say that it will, if you are not capable of having a spay done which cost me $65 for each of mine what makes anyone think that a LP surgery that will be thousand of dollars be provided for this precious little one? I wish there was a way to follow all of the YT members that come for advice like the OPer did to see how these new little "accidents" are doing in 2 or 3 or 5 years down the road. Maybe that way more people will be able to wrap their brain around why I was a great big fat meanie. |

And with that said, I am off to bed, because I am exhausted after preparing and serving at a funeral luncheon for 6 hours. I wish, everyone would really take the time now, to take a deep breath, and sit back, and really read all the posts, and think about your babies being in this situation. And ask yourselves, would you have allowed it to happen, even once. But even once, can happen and everyoe makes a mistake. No ones perfect, but we learn from our mistakes. I really feel that there are many very responsible young people in this forum, and I am asking you not to think about the puppies for just a few minutes. Think about the Mom. I don't expect or even desire any feedback. But I think, if you really read the posts, and all the discrepancies, you just might understand why some of us were so upset. I don't know if any of you have tiny dogs, but a dog that is "almost 5#s" is pretty tiny. Try to imagine her with a huge pregnant belly and severe LP in both back knees. Try to imagine her trying to get around to do the simple daily things in life; eating, drinking water, pottying. I know all of you love your babies. I read your posts. I can't imangine any of you allowing this to happen. |

megansmomma, i just want to say, i think you do great things for animals, its really wonderful, but dont you think its better to educate rather than bash them?i agree with wat you say about puppymills and how its bad the lp is passed on but why not try to educate this person, not attack them so they dont come back?why not do it nicely?im not trying to start a fight but I just dont see why it couldnt have been handled nicer. |
Woogie Man I think this was extremely nice of you to offer your email! I read all these posts and not many rendered help. Immediate help was needed, it was not time for education, that comes later. That's like bringing someone to a Emergency Room with a broken leg. And getting a lecture first on why it's important not to break your leg rather than treating it first and then lecturing later. A time and place for everything. I do hope she emails you and perhaps you can keep me informed as to how Mom and the pups are doing. Because she is now suspended, we really have no way of knowing, just how sad is that. She really got her "education" tonight, but Mom and pups look like they didn't fare well with all the information and help they needed. Weren't we suppose to be helping a Mom and her pups? I can understand many being upset, but isn't there a time and place to get angry. Be angry but do what is needed to help with the Mom and her pups. Did educating her help with the immediate problem that was presented? No it didn't. I am one very upset lady at this time as well. Upset because of the breeding but more so because her immediate problem wasn't helped by US! Quote:

I am so sad to see yet another member came asking for help and to see yet another thread turned into a circus thread. Can we please try to get the word out in a nicer way? I'm sorry that the OP was suspended when she only came here for help. but I'm sure all the rude post got to her and so she lashed out her self and that caused her to get suspended. please people think before you post I know people need to hear and learn and know about about BYB , puppy mills and those poor dogs in shelters and rescues. but this thread was not about that.and if you must bring it up why not just do it nicely in one post why over and over until we have page after page of the same thing or until the threads are closed and or peoples suspended or banned. I feel sorry for this mother dog and her pups. The mother should never of been breed the first or second time "period" with bad knees. if being preg made the extra weight cause her knee joints to be out more then in socket , that is very sad and very painful. Please have this girl spayed and have her LP checked by a new vet. Please do whats right for this baby. The gray pup sounds like it may of been a blue. they some times look gray and are not very healthy. feeding newborns every 2-3 hours are a big job. please keep them warm and never feed a cold pup, always warm them up first. I hope these little ones make it and I hope mommy dog gets healthy and the care that she needs. I wish you luck with this momma dog and her pups. |
