I was going to suggest the same thing about the C.O.D..
I've had puppies shipped from several states and the puppies arrived fine. The cost was around $200. for counter to counter.

Hope everything goes well. She is a cutie. :)

Zeus' Mom, to tell that it is not a scam, get the updated pics, but DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY !!!! Do as I suggested earlier and tell them to send the little girl C.O.D. and if they refuse as they have nothing to lose but the $1.00, then back away, it is a SCAM.....

I didnt have Gucci shipped. $500 is way to much for shipping. It seems to good to be true. Just be careful. Others have given you great advise.

First I have to say,,, she is adorable! But I would not ever have a puppy shipped. I am so happy for all of you who have had happy outcomes with having your puppy shipped. I'm just not a trusting person. I like to see up front what I am getting and have one on one contact with the person I am dealing with as well as the puppy. That's just me. I do wish you the best of luck and very hopefull that there is a very happy ending. I do know that if everything is on the up and up,,,,,, this little furbaby will be getting a very good home!

This doesn't sound right to me. I would fly out snd bring her bsck myself for that $500 or I would do a puppy escrow and not release the money until after the vet check. Be very careful here.

Hey guys! Just wanted to update you. I did not call them last night, but did email and ask for updated pics. I also inquired about the shipping costs. They replied by telling me that the cost of shipping is $170 and the dog cost is $320. Well, I thought they were just looking for a good home and not trying to sell. Not that this is a problem, but it did send off red flags. So.....I went to puppyfind.com this morning to look at the listing again, and guess what, not there!! But I did find this one, with the same dog. What at SCAM!!!!

When I just read this from page one - I wanted to tell you NO !! Don't do it - I was geting ready to post and saw your last reply - This sounds way wrong and the prices were very questionable AND so was the story they gave you.

When looking for puppies - PLEASE research these breeders of these sites - many people get scammed and their hearts broken. There are vast amounts of people now trying to take your money with the pretence of selling you a cute puppy - go with something you can CHECK OUT thouroughly and please don't believe any sad/misleading stories - Most good breeders that ship will make you feel totally comfortable - straight up sale.

I wouldn't worry about the shipping if it's counter to counter. Delta Dash is very
good. I would worry more about not meeting the breeder and the environment this
little girl was raised in til this time. If you know someone that got a dog from
her and recommended her I'd go for it. I got my "Crystal" when she was 3 yrs
and was just finished nursing her littler of pups. With an older one that may
have potty habits pretty well set in place, I knew I would have a little more
work but it was sure worth it. Good Luck What type of guarantee does she
give on health and also ck on how much insurance airline gives. If you pay $1200
and they only give $600 you might think about getting more. It's been awhile
since I have checked on how much they cover.

Thanks Villette! I completely agree. I want to get another yorkie from a breeder that I can trust, but my husband wanted so badly to rescue a yorkie that needed a home. We have had 2 unpleasant experiences with that within the past week or so. This one and another from a shelter that has not been very responsive to our calls or emails So...we have decided to just stick with what we know. We will get Zeus a sister from the breeder that he came from or another reputable breeder and just continue to donate $$ to the rescue missions.

Oh good ! When I was reading your original post - I went all the way through and was very glad to see your last post because I was going to YELL "Don't do it"! lol - Good for you :) and GOOD LUCK on your new puppy !

ps...your heart was in the RIGHT PLACE...it's so sad so many people count on that to rip us off - but I do commend you and your husband for trying and wanting to rescue.

When something seems too good to be true , you can be sure it is a scam .

I should have read the entire post instead of just the first. I don't think you can
ever be too careful when you are looking for a pet that will spend the rest of
their life with you. There are so many scams and unethical people and so many
"puppy mills". Even though I got my yorkie from a very well know breeder; I
flew to Chicago to pick her up.

Thanks again to all my friends here at YT!! Is really heartbreaking when you just want to help all those dogs without good homes and then it turns out a lot of them are scams!! I just don't understand people sometimes. Anyways, I will keep you guys updated on the new pup situation. I have a couple of great breeders to choose from, so hopefully we will have our little one soon.

You guys are wonderful!! :)

I've e-mailed the seller to let them know we are on to the scam and posted a review on the site. See how long it takes them to post a new one.

The new add indicates that he is free now!!!!! It just sickens me that they are so many dishonest people out there and the scams... :eek: I sure wish you luck with your quest to find a new baby. The right one will come along from the right breeder. :D
