| HELP! Whining in the car I want to be able to drive with Teddy to random places, pet stores, my family and so on but I feel soo bad because he cries the whole way, I mean the whole way. We haven't gone more then an hour but he cried the whole hour. We put him in a car seat (for dogs) to ensure his safety and everyone elses in the car, so I have tried sitting in the back seat and feeding him treats but it didn't work, toys to distract him don't work. I just don't know what to do but I don't want him to hate car rides. Any idea's?

| I have 3 yorkies and Rosco would whine also. One week I took him on a short 15 min. trip every day. Each day his whining got less and less. He does much better now.

| Jackson did the same thing for a good 2-3 weeks!! It was awful. He was in his crate to begin with and he would just whine and BARK obnoxiously. So I bought a harness that buckles into the seatbelt, he STILL whined and barked. He just does not like confinement, it's one of his downfalls, lol. He's so good at everything else. Finally after a few weeks of driving 2 times a week on a 45 minute drive, he just began getting used to. Now he just sits in the back seat (not buckled in.. I know! I plan on getting him used to a doggie car seat) and sniffs out the window I leave cracked for him. He's totally an angel now in the car. It took a little over a month though.

| Ginger is not liking car rides either! Big change from my last yorkie, Sunny. Sunny LOVED the car and always wanted to go. Ginger whines the whole time and it's miserable for everyone. I just hate it. I feel for you! I'm right there with you.

| Bailey sits in my lap and looks out the window - she's a perfect angel. I'm sure thats not the answer for you- they should be buckled up or in a carrier - but this works for us! Good luck!!
