...Let me get my glasses.....and try and understand your logic here: 1. Are you actually comparing the breeding of two ENTIRELY different genus within the animal kingdom? Mice? 2. Where did you read in any of those "negative" threads"...that their opposition was due to "showing potential"?. All I see is the HEALTH CONCERNS of the damn and puppies... AND the potential financial and emotional repercussions of buying a pup from a breeder A. who endangers her damn by breeding an undersized female and B. allows these "teacup" puppies to leave her home at 10 weeks, when the accepted time would be closer to 12 - 16 due to the very nature of their health concerns. 3. What "proof" do you actually need in regards to the health problems of "tinies"? A "Government Sponsored Study"? Let's disregard the 30 odd years of experience these breeders have had ...All you have to do...if you REALLY want to know...is talk to the vets. Why must we always error on the side of "pleasantry" when serious questions are being raised here? And on top of that..I find it puzzling that this comes from someone who is an "adamant proponent of "Quality Puppy Care" when choosing a "Good Breeder"! The only "Rudeness" going on in this thread was the inaccurate labeling of sincere and concerned Breeders and Owners. Apologies are in order if you ask me. Francie | |

| I think you guys should stop making this thread about anything else!!! Sugars mom came on here to share her good news. We have talked about the health risks and she understands and has researched it for herself. So please don't turn this into controversy. Just congratulate her on her cute little new puppy. I for one am very happy for you. Sugarsmom you can send me the pics and I will post them for you.

I don't feel calling anyone should be calling our breeders rude for voicing their feelings about the size of the mom - it IS a concern but in no way is meant to make you (sugars mom) feel bad. I feel breeding such small yorkies is asking for problems but I truly hope everything goes well for you. We have members who have been breeders for years here and hopefully their opinions are valued. I realize some of the posts are Not by breeders (like mine) ....but I hope you can take their honest posts for face value and know that they have the years of experience to stand by their knowledge.
