| ![]() I´m reading the rescue board every day and I´m so sorry for the pups there. I live in germany but would be a chance for me to got one of these dogs? I would like a dog with handicap no matter if he is blind, deaf or very old. and needs medical treatment. (We have an excellent vet clinic in the street which I live.) Because I think these dogs are with not much hope for getting a loving home. Any opinions? |

| ![]() Don't they have something comparable to these rescues in Germany? Do you have animal shelters, humane societies, breed clubs? Maybe you could contact some of the breeders there in Germany that might know of a dog with special needs. Sometimes the breeders here will adopt out a dog they are retiring from their program. I bet the breeders there do the same thing. They will have to get to know you as they are very particular about where their dogs go. But it would be worth your time to ask around.

When I see the yorkies in the american shelters and read their puppymill background and see the sad pictures my heart is breaking. I want to help the saddest yorkies whom don´t want anybody. In germany we have no puppymills but breeders which are called "blackbreeders" what means that they are breeding and selling without papers. Of the most a blackbreeder has no cages and the dogs are seldom mistreated. I think blackbreeder in germany are the same as backyardbreeders. I will go on searching about a small dog who needs a forever loving home. I was on a german rescue website and they imports dogs from Spain, Hungary and so on and I saw an old pekingese with only one eye. Maybe I can save him. Yes in USA are unbelievable many shelters and unwanted dogs. It is so sad. Our two boys have such a beloved life with us and I feel I need to give an unwanted dog hope and the same life. My boys are very sweet and kindly to other dogs so this would be no problem for them. I just saw the Truman thread and wow - you do so much for him, it´s absolutely great. ![]() Thank you for your trust to Truman and to help me with a rescue dog. | |
