I bet the breeders there do the same thing. They will have to get to know you as they are very particular about where their dogs go. But it would be worth your time to ask around. |
We have animal shelters but at the most exists a waiting list for small dogs here. Small dogs are rare in our shelters. And breeders sometimes retire their breeding dogs and sell them but this are dogs find a home and don´t need me. Humane societies are only for humans here.
When I see the yorkies in the american shelters and read their puppymill background and see the sad pictures my heart is breaking. I want to help the saddest yorkies whom don´t want anybody. In germany we have no puppymills but breeders which are called "blackbreeders" what means that they are breeding and selling without papers. Of the most a blackbreeder has no cages and the dogs are seldom mistreated. I think blackbreeder in germany are the same as backyardbreeders.
I will go on searching about a small dog who needs a forever loving home. I was on a german rescue website and they imports dogs from Spain, Hungary and so on and I saw an old pekingese with only one eye. Maybe I can save him.
