Washable Pads and Smell

Oh, you're from Saskatchewan! When we first came to Canada, my family and I lived in Saskatoon! I was only 3 years old but my parents always talked about how nice everyone was over there! They have so many people to thank from there who openly welcomed them and helped them adjust to living in a whole new country (we came from Vietnam).

Anyway, back to the topic at hand lol. I think you'll really love it! Everyone always asks me what is and when I tell them it's a Diaper Genie, they're like "Um, you don't have any babies..." LOL. I just read the description of the Diaper Genie II and it seems to not have the "twisting" mechanism. I'm not sure how that model works then, but you could always ask an associate about it and see if it would work with puppy pads

I use throw away pee pads. I buy (from the dollar store) a box of 100 small plastic diaper baggies and I fold up the pee pads really tight into the little plastic diaper baggies and tie in a tight knot. This little baggies actually have a gentle powder smell, so this solves that gross pee smell in the kitchen garbage

I did the exact same thing with both my yorkies. My bags were pink and the baby powder fragrence was wonderful. I like the paper pads since my place is fairly small and I like to change them often but for many other situations the washables are super.

I use washable and love them. Wash them every two days and they come out just like new. Bought them from a YT member who makes them with different fabric covers. They are quite pretty, and unless you knew specifically that they were washables potty pads , you would never guess it. If you need any info about them, just message me.

No problem I forgot to add, if you get the regular Diaper Genie twistaway system, the refills for those have a light baby powder scent to them, which I really like. I just read that the other model's refills don't have any smell/scent. So that might be a factor to consider when deciding which one to get

I use the washable pads and will wash then every other day...on the off days I just put them in the washer on a soak cycle along with some arm n hammer or borax and then they are ready to go the following day on a normal wash cycle with laundry soap. Never have a problem with smell.... and they always come out fresh smelling.
