Tatum's Luxating Patella Surgery is Tomorrow (Wednesday)...PLEASE SAY PRAYERS!!!
 

Hey everyone, as most of you all know, Tatum will be having her Luxating Patella surgery tomorrow. We are going out of town for this and have to leave very, very early in the morning. We have to be at the Surgeon's office at 10:45 a.m. but it is going to take us about 2 hours to get there...plus we will have to stop for food and to let little Tate go potty, etc., so we have to leave very early. I booked the hotel room about 2 weeks ago so all that is already taken care of....but I only booked it for one night and we won't know until after the surgery if she will have to stay only 1 night, or more. It just all depends on how she is doing. When we first get there tomorrow morning they are going to take x-rays and do bloodwork....and after that she will go in so that they can start the surgery.

PLEASE, PLEASE *PLEASE* say a ton of prayers for her.....I am soooo SO nervous about this and I will DIE if something goes wrong. I'm serious. Tatum HATES being in the car so that alone is going to be a big headache....and especially on the way back home after she is in her cast's, etc. She will be having BOTH knees done at the same time. We are taking one of the laptop's to the hotel with us and I will have my Blackberry to give you all updates on as well...and I will also take my camera and take pictures of my little angel after the surgery has been complete. There will be someone up there with her 24/7 so I can call and check on her and go up there and see her whenever I want. Also, I made sure to book a hotel that is close to where she is having the surgery just incase they would need me to get up there right away - our hotel is only 5 minutes away from where she is having surgery. I feel very confident about her surgeon - he is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with over 30 years experience....but I am just still soooo nervous :cry: Having her put under always TERRIFIES me. That is *the* most scary part for me. I just HATE it :cry:

Here are some pictures of my little angel baby.....she is such a little sweetheart and is SO SO special and important to us, so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow. I will update you all just as soon as I can. Hopefully I will be able to pop in with some pictures of her as well. Think positive. I am sure you have great faith in the surgeon or you
wouldn't be using him. I hope the day goes by fast for you and Tatum
is on her way home before you know it.

So sorry to hear that little Tatum needs surgery. She is so adorable - I always look at her pictures because she is so tiny and precious. I will surely pray for a safe surgery and recovery for her. Bless her little heart.

Have faith. My Charlie had both legs done...one at a time, though. He healed up in no time, and was back to jumping in about a month and a half each time. No more pain...it was all SO worth it. :) I gave him water therapy...like lunging a horse, in my case. Your sweet Tatum will need some kind of therapy to regain full mobility. I'm sure your vet has given you the instructions.....

You and Tatum will be so glad you did this. :)

My Izzie went through it last year (one leg) ...I slept on the floor with her in an x-pen for a few weeks so she wouldn't try to jump up to see me in bed...(my DH took a turn or 2 also)
What we wouldn't do for our babies !!!

Hope all goes well with Tatum's surgery. I know you are worried. We will be going through the same surgery before long with JoJo and I have a hard time even thinking about it. May you find comfort in knowing we care.
