Oh wow, poor Tat! Maybe next time you can take a bully stick with you and she might sit and chew that instead. I feel so bad for her hating the car that much. Is Stedman the same?

Going for More Physical Therapy Today
 

Hey everyone! :D It's been a while since I've done an update, so I thought that I would pop in and let everyone know that today Tatum will be going for more physical therapy :) Luckily, her appointment isn't until 1:30 so we don't have to leave near as early today, which is a good thing! :thumbup: We will probably leave at about 10:30, which is now only about 45 minutes away, so I need to start getting things together here pretty quickly.

Anyway, just wanted let everyone know that she will be going back today and I am asking you all to pray that everything goes well :hands: Last time she did her physical therapy she was under sedation because I gave her a tranquilizer before we left (we did this for the trip there, because it is a long drive and she *hates* the car)...however, she didn't do too well with the sedative and it made her way TOO out of it (read my reply above to Gypsy & Me :eek:) - so anyway, this time she won't be given a sedative and I am just PRAYING that she doesn't totally freak out during physical therapy this time because Tatum is just sooo scared of everything, she truly is such a little baby, a real scardy cat lol...and I just hope she does ok. So please say prayers for her!!

Other than that though, she is doing extremely well! :D She is using her little legs (BOTH of them!) like you wouldn't believe! We are totally blown away by how well she is doing! It is just AMAZING!!! :cheer:

Big hugs to you all and I will try to get back here ASAP to do an update and let everyone know how today went. I know it has taken me too long to even do THIS update - so many of you have been concerned and have been sending PM's, leaving messages in my profile and sending me e-mails to check on her and I SO appreciate that - I apologize for not doing an update here sooner :( I will do an update later on for today though, I promise! :)

I know...taking my babies in the car is always such a pain, I hate it :( I just WISH they loved the car :( YES, Stedman is the exact same way! He whines the whole time, pants and yawns every 2 seconds and can't be still....OMG....it makes you a nervous wreck! :eek:

Laser therapy truly is amazing! :thumbup: She did it again yesterday and I just love knowing that it increases healing up to 200% - YEAH!! :D

What did they say about her knees? Does everything look good? :hands:

Results of Yesterday's Physical Therapy Session
 

Well as you all know, yesterday we went back so that Tatum could have more Physical Therapy......and she did excellent! :D Her physical therapist said that she looks VERY good and that she does not foresee Tate having ANY problems what so ever with her little knees - HOORAY! :cheer: She said that because she is doing SO WELL, she doesn't even think Tatum will need anymore PT :p I mean, HELLO! Could we have possibly asked for better news??? :D I was doing the happy dance!

And as some of you may have read, I didn't give Tatum a tranquilizer this time for the trip there because on the last trip to Physical Therapy when I gave her one, it just made her way TOO out of it. Her head was falling over to the side and her nose was running (it was very weird :confused:) and her little eyes looked sooo glassy - I just COULD NOT bare to see her like that again - it made me way too nervous. So anyway, since she didn't have a tranquilizer this time for Physical Therapy, she was MUCH MORE alert - LOL. It was quite funny actually lol. She put her in the water tank for Aquatic Therapy and last time (when Tatum was sedated from the tranquilizer that I gave her) she was just kinda hangin' out in the water tank, going with the flow - WELL NOT YESTERDAY....lol :laugh: The little turd was kickin' and kickin' in that water! We were all cracking up because you would hear this THUD of water when she kicked and then water would splash all over the place :laugh: When it splashes on her face she would lick her nose over and over again LOL! It was sooo cute! I am just KICKING MYSELF for leaving my stupid camera in the car! I SO wish I could have gotten that on video, dang it! :( It was seriously just sooo funny LOL.

Anyway, I did get a couple pics though with my cell phone...they are posted below. Tatum didn't see the surgeon this time but we go back in 2 weeks (on the 18th) to see him so that he can check her out and take more x-rays. When we are there for that we will see Tatum's physical therapist again because she said that she wants to talk to us just to make sure that by that time she is still doing as great as she is today!

So - that's the update! All went well and little Tator Bug couldn't possibly be doing any better than she is! She is still using both back legs and isn't limping AT ALL. She is putting weight on her back left leg when standing now (which she wasn't before) and isn't holding it up off the ground when running. YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!! Gooooo TATOR! :cheer:

P.S.- Sorry the pics aren't the best. The first one is especially blurry, but I'm telling you all, the little stinker was just kickin' and flippin' in the water so much that it was hard to get a good pic cause she wouldn't be still LOL.

See all the water splashed up on the glass walls of the aqua tank?? LOL Those are from her kicks and splashes! What a little TOOT!!!! :p

Aww, sweet little girl! I am so glad everything went so well without the tranquilizers. Those pictures are hysterical! I don't think you could have asked for better news at this point. What a great job little Tatum (not to mention you) are doing! :cheer::cheer::cheer:

Looks like Miss Tatum is doing WONDERFUL!! I am so thankful that she is recovering so nicely. (Sounds like she enjoys the laser as much Shelby does...... it must feel really good! :) )

Glad to hear she's doing so well!!! She is just the cutest thing!!!!! And she's obviously a fighter! :D

Tatum doesn't look at all scared int the tank. Was she at first? I think my two would be terrified. I also hope you will share all the contact info for your vet and the surgeon. I would be willing to travel anywhere if my babies would get the same treatment in the event that we ever have a similar problem. (Did I say that in a way you could understand? - LOL) Right now we would have to go to a vet school south of us and I haven't heard anything good or bad about how they are with yorkie knee problems.

Anyway, congrats on Tatum's progress. She is really a special little girl. Is she free to roam yet or does she still have to stay in her crate?
